Four of us booked Miller Howe at very short notice, for a two night stay. We have to admit that our expectations were not especially high, but at the end of our weekend we all concluded that Miller Howe is really very good and we determined to go back. The decor is period (and the bedrooms are being redecorated ) but... more

Just returned from a trip to Miller Howe and we had a lovely time. However, for the price we paid the hotel is not perfect. We had a second floor room with a lovely view but it was quite small and the balcony was very small. The furniture is quite cheap looking formica, not what you expect in a hotel... more

We were taken by friends to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Stayed in one of the second floor rooms with balcony overlooking lake. Can't think of a better view in U.K. whilst drinking a glass of champagne. Good food. good wine and good friendly staff and a cup of tea in bed before breakfast. Can't wait to go back. Expensive but... more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Miller Howe. Great food, friendly and informal staff. We had a lake view room and it was as nice as everyone says. We stayed in winter and the driving was easy. Can't wait to go back. more

We stayed here for 2 nights recently to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. The location, rooms and staff were exceptional. I would certainly take issue with the reviewer who described the Miller Howe as 'stuffy'. I thought the staff were very genuine and attentive without being overbearing. The only disappointment we suffered was the food which was very good but... more

The views from this hotel are fantastic and you will find it hard to beat. The food is also far above average. the down side is that it is all too formal. All guests eat dinner at the same time and the next course is not served until all the guests are ready for it. which if there are slow... more
