We stayed for 2 night's, a mon and tuesday. found this is the day most restaurants are shut. The hotel was very clean but there was some anoying issues. our party of 4 enjoyed a break of 3 nights and found our rooms to be of good size with comfy beds and comforting showers to ease tired bones. the breakfasts had a good variety and we only had to ask , for more to be provided.Our friendly hosts gave us advice on the area and pointers on evening restaurants.... more

Very clean & friendly, but not the 5 star hotel indicated on website. Really a bed & breakfast rather than a hotel - I would say 3 stars, not 5 stars at all. Expensive for what it is. more

This is a great hotel in terms of location (15mins from the train station and walking distance from the town centre - the perfect hub if your staying in windermere. We stayed in the Bridal suite room which had a whirlpool bath - we had a lovely, large 4 poster bed and really decent furniture - very homely and clean.... more

I stayed for 2 nights in August 2006. As there were no more single rooms left, I stayed in a double. The room was nicely furnished, came en-suite, and was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. more
