Comfortable rooms. Good food. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced. Would recommend it as a quality, comfortable place where you can eat well and stay cosy on your return from walking the fells. more

Had an excellent 3 night stay. The room was a little cluttered with antique furniture but had a lovely ambience. Not the biggest room I've ever stayed but extremely comfortable. The food in the evening was hugely enjoyable and the vennison was first class. Lovely location with Coniston Blue Bird on draught. Excellent. more

Gorgeous 17th Century coaching house about 10 minutes outside Windermere on the Kirkstone Pass.
