We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was fine, had everything we needed and was very clean, as was the en-suite. Breakfast was nice with plenty to choose from. Thank you for you review and I am pleased you had an enjoyable weekend. After 25 years in the business we have had to roll our sleeves up several times but after four weeks the chef is now back in action and the stress lines are beginning to fade. See you again soon I hope.

Stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights with a large group of friends. The hotel was marvellous in all respects - the rooms were beautifully decorated, the bar was cosy and the staff excellent. This hotel was within easy walking distance of Windermere and Bowness with private parking. Rooms were comfortable, bathroom was small but adequate. All staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent and evening meal was great with a varied menu. Overall a very pleasant stay. Would definitely return and recommend to others more

We jut come back from a lovely couple of days at the Hotel.The owners Jackie & Peter were so welcoming courteous,helpful without being in your face all the time. We stayed in the Hotel and two self catering cottages. The accomodation was excellent very clean and nicely decorated. The sfaff were very helpfull cheerfull and made us all feel very welcome. Stayed for 2 nights with husband and two children aged 1 and 6. Room looked exactly the same as website pictures but was larger than expected, staff were fine, location between windermere village and Bowness, however winderemere is closer. My husband and I have stayed at The Glenburn several times and the service is always good. We have stayed three times this year and always had a nice room which is serviced every day. The hotel has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and is just a short walk to all amenities so we didn't have to use the car. Few... more
