My friend and I stayed here over Easter and we really enjoyed it. We had a superior twin room which was gorgeous, spotless, really nicely decorated and cosy. Ken and Cindy made us feel so welcome and gave us some great reccomendations (including the Cake Trail!). The breakfasts were fantastic and the location was perfect, halfway in-between Windermere and Bowness.... more

Had a couple of nights at Denehurst following the reviews on Trip Advisor. As soon as we arrived Ken showed us our rooms and organised tea and biscuits for us. He showed us the varied maps, books and brochures and offered any help with planning trips, recommendations for restaurants etc. We took advantage of his offers and he loaned us... more

Having found the Denehurst 12 months ago, we have returned four times - that says everything! other than to say Ken and Cindy the owners are genuinely friendly people who have made our visits to the Lake District so enjoyable and have recommended places to visit and eat out and have even made bookings on our behalf. This is excellent... more

We stayed at Denehurst over Easter and it certainly lived up to its reviews. The owners, Ken and Cindy, were really friendly and helpful. I'd recommend asking them about the Cake Walk. :-) We stayed in a superior twin room and found it very comfortable. The Easter eggs we got on the Sunday were a very nice touch! The breakfasts... more

This was our second visit to Denehurst for a much needed relaxing break. After staying at numerous B&B,s within the area over a number of years we finally hit the jackpot at Denehurst. Fantastic service from two of the warmest and friendliest people we have ever had the good fortune to meet, it is simply home from home. The rooms... more

We really can't fault Denehurst. My husband and I went away for our 'summer' holiday - although it rained all week but it didn't matter because our accomodation was absoloutly brilliant! Ken and Cindy made us feel totally at home, the breakfasts were delicious and the rooms were lovely and clean with lots of personal touches. We would recomend this... more

I booked this B&B for my husbands 30th birthday and from the minute I contacted the hotel they could not have been more helpful. I booked the four poster room and they arranged chocolates and champagne in the room at a small extra charge, which was very reasonable, as during our stay I found the chocolates in a shop and... more
