From walking into the hotel, the staff were friendly, but not to full on.They let you know they are their if you need them, but leave you to relax. We stayed here for one night as the Merewood (its sister hotel) was fully booked. Like the Merewood, the Cragwood Hotel is a very attractive property (on the outside) but unlike the Merewood the inside is quite austere. The reception rooms in the rear of the building are very plain and almost institutional, like an old school or nursing home.... more
