The nice touches like the home baked biscuits in reception and the extensive breakfast menu so beautifully prepared and presented on the plate (using quality ingredients) make this B&B the best we've stayed in. I would have liked to have seen kippers or smoked haddock on the menu, but I understand the smell is not too agreeable for other guests... more

We have stayed at the Rockside a number of times and cant stop going back, we love it. Will never stay anywhere else in the lakes!! Arrived friday late afternoon, homemade cookies waiting in reception,the room was very clean and really comfortable, breakfast was amazing and set you up for the day, caroline was very helpfull in rocommending some good restaraunts for our wedding aniversary, woulkd definately stay there again, hosts very friendly and helpfull. more

Me & my partner decided to visit the Lake District as we'd never been before & came across Rockside Guest House. The owners couldn't be more helpful! We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Close to the station, mid point to all places that have to be visited, good transport links. To top it all, lovely hosts, Caroline is so chirpy!
