Stayed last week in June, our second visit, hope there'll be many more!
This guest house, a lovely cosy terraced cottage, is situated I minutes walk away from the lakeside and Waterhead Pier. From there you can catch ferries to all other parts of the beautiful Lake or just sit and gaze at the gorgeous scenery or take a drink or meal at the local hotel/restaurant overlooking the lake.
There are many walks you can start right there without any need to use a car. Whether you are an experienced walker or just like to wander there is something for everybody.
Ambleside is a 20 minute max. stroll away,a lovely centre for outdoor pursuits, shopping or eating at one of the fine restaurants which seem to cater for all tastes and purses.
We were greeted with a very warm welcome by the friendly hosts, Sally and Tom, who do everything possible to make your stay comfortable, rooms are immaculate, well equipped and the breakfasts magnificent! This place is a gem!
