We stayed for 2 nights over the weekend. We had stayed before a couple of years ago and enjoyed it so much we went back for a second time. Jackie offers a very warm and friendly welcome and the "can i get you a brew?" greeting is perfect after a long journey. The room we stayed in (room 2) is spacious with clean, modern decor, a good sized clean ensuite with a deep bath is also great. Breakfast was outstanding, very large and freshly cooked full English, or pancakes or basically whatever you fancy. it's served in a lovely room with a real fire burning all the time. It is situated about half way between Bowness and Windermere and is about 15 mins walk either way which is just about right after too much breakfast! and too much dinner later in Bowness!Nothing seems too much trouble for Jackie, we will be going back again!
