have just spent a couple of nights at Wheatlands - attention to detail and care was tremendous from the tea/coffee and shortbread biscuits when we arrived to the warming complimentary soup and bread with tea and coffee on one of the worst weekends of weather the Lakes have had for years. Sarah was very helpful with ideas for places to... more

We were met on arrival with coffee and shortbread. The weather over the weekend was very wet so we were offered complimentary soup/rolls and tea or coffee to warm ourselves after getting cold and wet. The room was excellent ,beautifully clean and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were presented to a very high standard and we... more

This is the place to stay in winderemere. Sara and Joe have the recipe right in terms of customer service, attention to detail, value for money and for taste. This is not just a B&B - this is a five-star dwelling and deserves its reputation. Great location, try the penthouse with the jacuzzi bath - it was perfect for a... more

My husband and I took a short break and chose this superb guesthouse by taking note of the reviews. We were greeted with a warm welcome of tea and buscuits by Sarah and Ben the dog. Our room was cozy and tastefully decorated with pure white cotton sheets, it had an ensuite with a large walk in shower and pure... more

We stayed overnight here in September 2009 and would have booked another night but no rooms were available unfortunately. There were thoughtful touches throughout, including soft closing doors, and a beautiful breakfast room with excellent coffee. Our room was fairly large compared to other B&B's we stayed in during our 4 weeks in the UK, and we felt like it... more

Stopped for 2 nights. The best b & b I have ever stayed in. Wonderful warm welcome, gorgeous rooms- we stopped in the 2 penthouse rooms - wow! - caring friendly hosts and a breakfast fit for a king. We will recommend to friends and family without hesitation and hope to return soon. more

Perfect place to stay on our first night in the UK after a very long flight from LAX. We were welcomed like old friends, offered a refreshing cup of tea, and shown to a beautiful room. The bathroom was gorgeous, too. Lots of room and a heated towel rack. Would definitely come back again. more
