All Staff are extremely friendly & made us feel at home immediately. Nothing is too much trouble. Just ask for anything (as some things have had to be removed because of COVID)
Bathroom lovely (again very clean) shower & a Whirlpool bath with a tv. I could have spent hours in there ☺️
Breakfast is so nice (compliments to the chef 👌🏻) Staff again very accommodating and friendly service (nothing too much trouble) a wide selection. Tick whatever you want on the sheet left in your room & drop it at reception for the next morning. You sit at the table numbered the same as your room number & remain there for your stay. So you are not sharing with other guests (so no worries about touching items others have used). Hand sanitiser available downstairs in reception & in the bar & also before you go upstairs to your rooms.
This was our first visit for our wedding anniversary, but it won’t be our last.
Keep up the great work everyone. Hope to see you again soon ☺️.
We received a warm welcome from Graham on our arrival
and were shown to our room , which was tastefully decorated and spotless .
The room was well equipped with everything required for comfortable stay , bath robes / slippers / towels / kettle with teas / coffee etc...
The bathroom was modern and clean with a spacious shower and a jacuzzi bath even a tv .
Breakfast was cooked to order and we chose from a varied menu , the food was amazing - nicely presented on hot plates , and a great start to the day .
The owners and staff were all warm and friendly , nothing was to much trouble for them .
We highly recommend a stay at this lovely hotel , as our stay was perfect from Beginning to end .
We will definitely return .
Big thank you 😊

the room facilities were some of the best we have stayed in, breakfast was fully served at the table and was very good.
the only negative for me and this is a pet hate , and yes i know i booked a std room ( front rooms are more expensive and add up over days stayed) , i dislike rooms at the rear of hotels , windows are small and view is never good ( see image below) as it was Easter so no work was being undertaken.
stayed in room 6
We managed to park in the free car park out front which was excellent.
We had booked Sophistication, Which was a twin room with a balcony overlooking the sea.
We were instructed how to use the TV the lighting and the whirlpool bath and then we were left unpack. Although the balcony doors were open it did smell a little fusty.
I know a lot of the previous reviews explain how clean the hotel was, and I must say all the public areas were immaculately clean however the room although not dirty was not up to a five star and Covid standard. There was something crusted one of the beds throws there were stains on the carpet and the walls. By the time we left the floor had never been hoovered the TV area and the lighting was thick with dust we know the cleaners came into the room as strangely they went in and cleaned during the time we were at breakfast each morning which to be honest I didn’t like as you don’t always put everything away when you get up in the morning before you go down for breakfast so there were private items in the room such as underwear and nightwear not put away . All that seem to happen was the water was replenished the towels put away and if there was nothing on the beds the beds were made, glasses were not always removed from bedside.
There was nothing to say that the room would not be cleaned properly due to COVID-19 restrictions as other hotels and B&Bs we have stayed in have stated and then I do not mind. Breakfast was a cooked breakfast each morning which was okay not breakfast award standard and as per another review cheap sausages. We were able to acquire An alternative on two days Which had previously been promised during Covid. The staff were very polite and the establishment was very nice and in a great location . The whirlpool bath and the TV in the bathroom was a lovely addition. However the whirlpool bath and a Seaview does not make a five star B&B. Yes this was a very nice place but we were A little disappointed.
Even there are only four spaces to park in front of the hotel, there is usually plenty of parking available on the road outside the hotel, so there should be nothing to worry about there, and also you are barely 20 minutes walk to the start of Lytham beach, where we spent most of our first afternoon. I also have to say the staff were exceptional at all times and a credit to the hotel. We are already planning our next trip to the Number One!
We stayed with our son so booked a single occupancy room for him which was great value. Both rooms called Passion and Intrigue are in excellent condition and look like the photos but not quite as brightly coloured. They were spotlessly clean and well equipped. Decent biscuits and bottled water were provided. We had a convenient parking space at the back of the hotel. The breakfast was top notch proper freshly squeezed orange juice and everything you could possibly have for a full English. The hotel is south of the pleasure beach so although a little way from the centre it benefits from being in a quiet spot close to the prom. If not the number one hotel in Blackpool at the price level it must be very close to the best.
The breakfast was nice with lots of choice and the evening meal we stayed in for was amazing.
The only criticism we had was we found the manager a little abrupt at times and made us feel uncomfortable, we arrived at 13.50 and check in was 2pm, instead of politely saying to us take a seat and I will check you in shortly he said, you can't check in till 2 you've got ten minutes yet, we went and stood outside to wait, he reminded us very much of Basil faulty. The rest of the staff were brilliant especially the ladies they couldn't do enough for you.
"Use the tram service to get to the heart of Blackpool. There is a stop very close to the hotel. We bought a day ticket - relly good value."Read full review
