Room was lovely and clean, I had only booked up 2 days before going and had a lovely surprise to find that we had been given a free upgrade to a sea view... More

Booked this weekend through National Holidays. Excellent value for money. We had booked a twin room and a single room. Rooms were fine, clean and comfortable. Food was good, choice of 2 starters, 3 main courses and plenty of choice for dessert. Vegetarian meals available on request. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice. Hotel is ideally situated for Tower... More

After much consideration we decided to take a chance on the metropole, we had read the mixed reviews and were very apprehensive. However we decided to give it a go and were glad we did. We paid £120 for family of four for 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast.(Fri and Sat) It was a valentines weekend special and included champagne... More

My wife and I booked a one night stay, dinner bed and breakfast for the night of 27th January. We picked the hotel because of it's close proximity to the Opera House where we were to see Billy Connolly. The hotel appears to cater for coach parties and people booking free bar packages. We arrived at 4.30pm and after checking... More

I stayed here for 2 nights, last week in January 2012 after almost a year going elsewhere...... Last time I stayed in this hotel 'Jan 2011' I decided to give it a miss the next time I was in the area as it was not a pleasant experience at all. However whilst checking out for a hotel in the area... More

This is the first time we have stayed in this hotel and we would certainly recommend this to others. We found staff both helpful and polite. the breakfast was excellent just the start to the day that you need, the only issue we had was the restaurant was a little cool. The night porter was very friendly and helpful. We found the Metropole... You may be able to get a deal at this hotel, but the experience will fall short whatever price you pay. As a special occasion I booked a "spa package". On a rainy arrival day we were turned away and told to come back in a few hours - that may I add was all the information we were given... More
