The new lyngarth is currently under renovation so only a few rooms and the public areas are open as yet. The owner and staff are very pleasant and welcoming and the meals we had were very good and very large. I would suggest leaving your trip until next year (2010) so there is time for the renovations to be completed... more

Sadly despite the claims of the website, that it has been refurbished, it is very down at heal and grubby! Not quirky as the websire claims just not very nice My ensuite had such a large sink I couldn't get to the loo easily . Although this hotel was recently refurbished there was still work being done on it and had the smell of paint. The room we had was small. Although the owners Dave & Dave were very friendly and helpful, their B& B is bloody awful!!! The decor in the lounge and bar very Bet Lynch or Dorien of 'Birds of a Feather' fame - tastless and trashy with half the ceiling caving in, in the breakfast room. My partner Zsolt and I are about to re-open the hotel in the Summer of 2009. Afraid we can not do anything about the way it operated before but can assure you that when it re-opens it will be totally different New Style, New Rooms, New Management

I loved this place. I wanted somewhere where I could meet up with friends from England and we decided on Blackpool and the Lyngarth was recommended to us from a friend of a friend and I'm glad it was! Very convenient for Blackpool North rail station and the town's commercial centre. My room was very cheap, and I was able to book just one night at a weekend during the illuminations, which is not something that all Blackpool hotels will do.
