Myself, my wife, and our pet cat stayed here when Ray ran the hotel. The food was excellent, more than enough to eat, and the bar was cosy. I used to "entertain" on the organ in the bar... it made the holiday for me. The only fault I can pick up on, is there when times when "football teams" came... more

I would recommend the colwyn hotel. I found the staff very obliging, the rooms were very clean and the cooked breakfast was very nice. My son and daughter enjoyed their stay and my son was pleased their was a pool table. I found Charles and Ruby very nice people who really looked after their guests. The hotel was very cosy.... more

Just returned from a very pleasant 5 day stay at the Colwyn. I found the hotel to be clean & comfortable, and the staff very helpful. indeed the manager Charles is very proffesional replying to e-mails before my arrival. My room was good. The food was great, and i would recommend the Colwyn to anyone. Good show. more

We stayed for one night at this hotel and one night was enough the rooms were so small, you could hardly swing a cat, they were very cold and as you have 2 large windows in a very small room, with wafer thin cream curtains, the slighest bit of daylight your waking up, not good if your hungover. My wife and I spent 8 nights at the Colwyn Hotel from the 13th April 2007. The day that we arrived was a also a change of ownership for the hotel. Charles and Sheila have taken over and although it was their first week the service and food was excellant. backed up by the staff we had a great week... more

i,m a single mum and stayed for a week midd summer with my two young sons and dog. rooms were clean although maybe bit small if you have a pram, staff were extremley freindly and helpfull couldent do enough for us we are going back next year, highly recomended more

The colwyn hotel is great!The staff are very helpful and the cleaners do a good job of cleaning the rooms.The food is beautiful and the owner also has a beautiful weinmararner dog called juke and he is as soft as a brush. Recentley stayed at The Colwyn Hotel, But never again!! Room was shabby with carpet not even reaching walls and showing bare floor boards, heating not on very often so room was freezing, no hot water for shower most of the time and hotel nearly empty (Was only one in most of stay), so no atmosphere. Only good point was good... more
