We have been going to Blackpool for our annual football tournament for the last 4 years and this is the best hotel we have stayed at. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy rooms and very kid friendly. Looking forward to visiting again next year. Many thanks from Roach Dynamos U`11s more

6 of us stayed in this hotel for 3 nights B & B, but wanted to move elsewhere as soon as we saw our rooms. My friends room was unclean and the shower didn't work properly or the t.v....our tv didn't work properly either, and there was a big damp patch on the ceiling. The decor was horrible, it looked... more

It was unfortunate that these guests did not bring to our attention at the time that they were unsatisfied with their rooms, there is every opportunity for guests to request an ‘upgrade’ bedroom, however there do hold a higher price. Whilst there are decorations and renovations taking place (ongoing since 2006) none of our rooms represent the 70’s and our...

14 of us stayed at the albany hotel on the 19th jan, the rooms were small but clean, the bar was nice and big, there was only 1 person on reception and serving drinks in the bar maybe they have more staff in the summer months it was ok and wasn't a disaster unlike some previous reviews. bad bit -... more

Like all businesses our staffing levels are reflected by the number of guests residing at the hotel during any period. We operate a full on Restaurant and not a buffet style bar, therefore there is no need for guests to help themselves. In light of the comments regarding breakfast we have reviewed our menu and service procedures. We are always...

My boyfriend and i planned a two nights in blackpool as a getaway. We arrived at the hotel at 2 o clock in the afternoon, and was told by the receptionist that the room wouldnt be ready for another two hours. We didnt really mind at the time as we time isnt really hard to kill when youre in blackpool,... more

We attempt to always have all of our bedrooms ready for the designated times, however unfortunately there are certain circumstances where bedrooms may require more attention than normal. Despite our desire to release bedrooms at 2:00pm we will not lower our standards for any of our guests. On the occasions that this has occurs not only are the guests apologised...

I stayed at The Albany at the beginning of last August. my mother in law & myself needed to recharge our batteries for a few days.I booked The Albany Hotel as they had an offer on Late rooms 3 nights b&b for £120-which was excellent value. I read the previous reviews on trip advisor(which at the time were good) and... more

These guests would have booked a special offer that was available for a short period of time. This room included a standard bedroom rather than an upgrade bedroom – this is reflected in the price, upgrade rooms are available however these are charged at more than £20.00 per person bed and breakfast. The bedrooms have been decorated last year, however...

26 of us arrived in a coach party at approx 4pm. Our rooms were not ready on arrival, no explanation given not even a cup of tea or an apology after a 5 hour journey. Most people on coach were elderly my parents room was booked as a double room it was so small you could almost switch the tap... more

The coach arrived at 2:30pm rooms were available from 4:00pm, however many of the guests decided that this was irrelevant as Blackpool has so much to offer and went to explore. It is standard within the industry that guests cannot check-in until 3pm – 4pm, often arriving earlier will not guarantee you being able to check in, there was no...

We stayed at this hotel last weekend as a group of 6 we were placed in rooms which were filthy, the beds were clean but the window frames were filthy. We clean the windows and the window frames each day, however we are located close to the promenade and an amount of sand does blow into the windowsills. Heating is on a timer that switches off and on throughout the day to keep the temperature at a comfortable level, however all of our radiators hare fitted with thermostats that guests...

Well this must be the worst hotel in the land, arrived at 14.20 the staff did not have a room ready for us and when they did show us one it was small. We asked to change room and were given a room that was not ready but we said we would take it and left to give staff a... more

We booked this hotel as a family night away. After reading some of the reviews, it sounded ok. When we first arrived reception and bar area looked really nice so i was impressed. we went up to our room and what a big disappointment it was. The room was the size of a shoe box and the childrens room was... more

We have strived and invested to offer the best and most stylish facilities to our guests. We have achieved this within the common areas of the hotel. Our bedrooms vary in price and grade as with many hotels, subject to booking availability upgrade rooms are available at a higher price. I am amazed that this guest would not immediately complain...
