Just done 5 nights here, with my wife, and expected better. Super top floor room, so airless that sweat poured of us, but no heating on, very strange. The entertainment lounge was just the same, red hot. Meals were average, breakfast tiny, evening meals varied, one night beef, next night ,beef stew and dumplings, next night cottage pie with minced... more

We stayed in an executive room which we thought would be bigger and the view from our window was some sort of what looked like a water unit or a unit for the heating. Also the room was really hot. We heard other guests say the same about their rooms aswell and no-one had their heating on. Two things that... more

Just returned from a 5 night stay, next time we'll go for longer. We had a party of 20 plus and none of us wanted to leave. The rooms are first class and the adjustable lighting is a very nice touch. The staff are all very freindly and proffesional and no one could fault the food. Everyone said they loved... more

This was our 2nd visit to the Doric and was just as good as the first. We stayed 3 night over the new year. Yes, it was expensive but wouldn't anywhere but home be expensive? Our party ranged from a 14 year old to a 70 year old. The rooms were large and warm and cleaned thoroughly every day. There... more

We found the bar prices to be very good (a lot of hotels have expensive bar prices). The food was execellent with good portions. We stayed in the Doric... more

I stayed at The Doric about 20 years ago when I was a child myself so when it came to booking a weekend away for me and my husband and our daughter in Blackpool, I thought it would be great to return to The Doric. We stayed there for 3 nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. We had... more
