Saw the website and thought the Hotel looked nice, however looks can be decieveing. Regimental approach to booking in, rooms were very shabby, beds uncomfortable, the cabaret was rubbish Avoid this hotel at all costs. more

Since The Cornhill Hotel does not allow you to give feedback on their web page I am so glad I have somewhere to warn people of this hotel. From the start the manager was impolite and spoke to us as if we were school children. It felt like boot camp with her barking orders at us regarding times and parking.... more

We saw the advert in the sun about the hotel and that there are chocolates and flowers in room on arrival and a 6 course meal, sounded very nice (thats a laugh) there were no chocs and flowers in the room and the meal was very poor, the starter was a quarter of a small... more

We booked a 4 poster room with sea view, that was about the only thing we could say was right about the place, even if the double glazing was that poorly installed we had to peer through the condensation. The hotel was advertised in our local paper and one thing it offered was "four postered" beds!!!! When we arrived they made us wait in turn, as when we booked it with the later... more

Please do not be fooled with this hotel. It is badly in need of refurbishment. The bedrooms are so small I could spread my arms out and touch both walls. One person can only walk down the corridor - the rooms have been cut in half to make two rooms. The shower door would not close and the decor was... more

After having booked for a weekend break with 15 other friends, I discovered some reviews about the Cornhill, some good, some bad so was a bit worried prior to our arrival and what we would find. We needn't have worried at all. The bedding and towels were spotless and the food was good and plentiful, we didn't come away from... more
