Spent 2 nights in Room 8. Made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Sean could not do enough to help. Room clean and nicely decorated, with tea/coffee tray, LCD freeviw TV. Deffinately not a place you would want to stay in for more then a day or two. As you can imagine Blackpool is bursting with guest houses, the Oakliegh is just one of many and very old fashioned. Really welcoming, frienndly and helpful. Rooms are freshly decorated and very clean with modern facilities. Breakfast was first class and made to order. Very accomodating with kids and adults alike. Couldnt be better placed for Pleasure Beach and South Pier. Highly recommended!!! more

We were worried about booking a guest house due to previous bad experiences, but we had no need to worry.
