What a super weekend we had staying at the Haldene in Blackpool - we were made to feel so welcome - the rooms though compact are spotlessly clean and contained everything we needed. The food was good wholesome home cooked food and so pleasantly served. We were there on a crafting weekend - the proprietor made us feel so much... more

Well I think that your images leave a lot to be desired. The Room that my friend and I shared on the craft weekend 4 December 2009 was disgusting. It measured the window end approximately four feet across and to the door approximate sixteen feet in that space was a single bed there were no sockets and there was no... more

Just over a year ago, due to the closure of the Hotel where we used to stay. I went Online and did a serch of Hotels in that same area in Blackpool. Sending off numerous requests to hotels etc, the only Person to Person answers came back from the Haldene, the rest where just automated answers. So my Partner and... more

My parents myself and my partner went to the Haldene Hotel last weekend for a relaxing break. From the moment we walked in the owners made us feel welcome. Both our rooms were clean and decorated lovely. Ours wasn't massive but big enough with en-suite and everything we needed. The breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice to suit everyone.... more

I had the pleasure of staying at The Haldene for a weekend with a group of friends. I was made to feel welcome, as if I were a personal friend, before I even crossed the threshold. Within minutes the kettle was on and I had a welcome brew! The owners did everything they could to make us feel not just welcome,... more

Both my wife and I have stayed at the Haldene on many occasions and the reason we keep coming back is the warm welcome we receive on our arrival, the food, which is excellent and plentiful and the fine accomodation all of which make for a very pleasant stay. We would recommend this Hotel to anyone and we will be... more

I don't generally review on here but I stumbled across the above review and felt I had to give my thoughts. We booked our first visit to the Haldene in August 2007 for a weekend break with my family after seeing the details on the internet. I also rang the Haldene and found the owner really helpful and friendly, they... more

The Haldene Hotel has to be positively the worst hotel in Blackpool. We stayed for 2 nights during Blackpool's illuminations period and it was 2 nights too long! Very untidy on first appearance and very unpleasant owners marked the start of a really unpleasant stay at the Haldene. Tiny rooms (barely enough room to turn around), stained bedding, no change... more

Management response from

In response to your totally appalling comments. The Blackpool Trading standards and Blackpool Enviromental health and safety, having visited my bed and breakfast found your accusations to be totally unfounded. My guestbook is open for everyone to read. If you had pointed out your complaints on finding them,i would have addressed them immediately. Nobody would sleep in a dirty bed for one...
