Stayed here for 1 night recently ( though originally booked for 2 but checked out after suufering mild depression brought on by the green bathroom suite ) found it to be the most unappealing hotel I have encountered . The accomodation block is seperate from the pub / restaurant and looks like a 1960s tenemant - The rooms are tired... more

I took my partner to this hotel for his 30th birthday as the website advertises what looked like rustic charm... there was no detail about bright gawdy decor and awful food on a par with Burger King. The receptionist did not even end her call to her friend when we checked in and it was clear we were intruding on... more

Rooms were situated in two cottage-motel style buildings. Big, light rooms, clean and with some essentials (e.g shampoo, shower gel) provided for you. Very comfortable bed. Good bathroom fixtures. Hotel info booklet in room showed activities in surrounding area, but did not make clear when check-out and breakfast times were. As we missed breakfast, we had to go elsewhere which... more

I have visited the bar on and restaurant 3 times in the last month and am totally disatisfied with the level of service. The bar staff never seem to smile, the ladies toilet is filthy with layers of dust accumulating all along the skirting boards. There seems to be no apparent cleaning schedule underway. After complaining , nothing has improved.... more

From the web site it looks like a nice country hotel with extensive pleasant grounds. In fact it's a pub and fast food resturant with 20+ rooms to let. (not in the same building. and a lot of unkempt grounds. No separate lounge to sit other thar in the bar. Breakfast was good, once we got some spoons and some... more

This is not one of your major hotels such as the Hinckley Island so you can not start to compare the two! I stayed at the Mill on the weekend and I found it quite nice. The food has gone up in my opinion and the staff are like any other minor hotel. Everyone is human and some have off... more

Poor restaurant, poor staff, very poor service/help from the management. I stayed here for the weekend, Friday - Sunday. On Friday night I ate at the restaurant attached to the guest house which was very poor - a tiny selection, with almost no vegetarian choices. On Saturday, we decided to go out and about. When we asked at reception what... more

Had a few too many to drink, stayed late - a realy good night out with friends. I asked a bartender if there were rooms and they directed me to Hotel Reception who sold me one at discounted rate as it was late and they were about to close, the room was only £35 ish to start with! I am... more

I stayed there, not by choice, but had nowhere else. But.....I think that a big brewer had just bought the place in June 04 and a new manager seems to have it sorted. Yep, the bathroom is 70's green, but I found it cheap and cheerful - I have stayed since. The Food is realy good now too. Hope this... more
