Located in probably the most interesting part of Lincoln, this sixties style hotel has commanding views of the cathedral, and is just minutes from the heart of historic Lincoln. If the weather permits, you can take tea or something stronger in the hotel garden. In inclement weather, then the hotel lounge is spacious and comfortable. Similarly, the rooms are clean... more

I booked this hotel over the internet after looking at the hotels owv website. There were no external photographs on the website only pictures of the Lincoln Cathedral and upon arrival we could understand why!! The outside of the hotel looked like a prefab 60's building. Then when we got inside the hotel it seemed to a bit better as... more

We have just spent a weekend at the Lincoln Hotel in the historic centre of the city. The situation of the hotel is first-class and close to cathedral, castle, bishop's palace and wonderful little shops. Couldn't have been in a better position. The cathedral view bedrooms are modern, well furnished and up-to-date and have stunning views of the magnificent cathedral,... more

Firstly, if a Cathedral view is important to you when you visit Lincoln then do not stay anywhere else. The hotel is right across the road from the Cathedral and the view is stunning. The staff are also very helpful and friendly. However, the room we had let the hotel down a bit. The heating system in the room is... more

Lovely location. Stayed for 2 days 26th/27th December. We booked a balcony room which was great location overlooking the cathedral but the design left us reeling, odd mix of styles - scandic mirror in the middle of the room, desk resembling a hamster cage ! Bed was large and confortable, hairdryer didn't work, although they supplied another there was nowhere... more

My wife and I stayed at the Lincoln Hotel in December (26th-27th) of 2007 and choose a double room with terrace and Cathedral views. The hotel itself is perfectly situated for sightseeing in the old city although we were there on a family visit. Parking is more than adequate with a large car park in the front and another at... more

Stayed for one Saturday night following a Christmas Do. 3rd floor room with a small balcony and a nice view of the Cathedral. Not sure what type of room in terms of Standard as it was booked for me. Room was not large but quite adequate and with sufficient space for a coffee table and chair. Contemporary styling with nice... more

Easy parking, excellent location for the old town, fabulous views of the cathedral-best in Europe. Room well furnished with great bathroom and easy climate control. We were unlucky to be there with a wedding reception going on ,which meant a disco till midnight which was annoying as we had been located right above the dance floor. Also we were told... more

We have just returned from a weekend at The Lincoln Hotel. The hotel is magnificent and we have never experienced such incredible service before. We stayed on 3rd floor (we were upgraded) and the view where amazing. We were just expecting a few nibbles but breakfast is a lovely continental spread with cheeses fruit pastries etc. Along with your tarditional... more

We got a free upgrade to a large refurbished room with very comfortable bed, cathedral view and tiny balcony. View was great, especially when the catbedral was floodlit at night, though I wouldn’t have paid extra for the balcony. Flat-screen television with lots of channels. Two drawbacks: the room was very hot even with the window open, especially with duvet... more
