I have stayed here 5 or 6 times, paying usually somewhere from £88 to £98 for double room with cooked breakfast. This is a standard chain, so don't expect old-world charm, quirks, winding staircases and the like. Just a functional hotel, good breakfast, parking, and central location. In fact its a very central location for shops, restaurants, pubs clubs and... more

Right. I visited Lincoln to see an old uni friend. However I should have chosen to sleep on her sofa. It started of with check in which was slightly off hand when they could not find my booking. Reservations had left for the day and i asked for the manager to give me a call in the morning, he never... more

Good views and excellent meals especially steaks - rooms comfortable and clean and staff very friendly but noisy in the summer when leaving window open in the early hours from late night revellers (students generally) Earthquake proof !! more

Having read the negative reviews of this hotel prompted me to write a review of my own. I found this hotel to be clean, the staff very friendly and in the best location. Within walking distance to restaurants, sites and shopping. Rates are good. I would highly recommend this hotel. more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn when we visited Lincoln for 2 nights this past weekend. We paid £98 per night which included breakfast. First impressions were excellent, right on the wharf and plenty of bars and restaurants in close proximity. Impressions became even greater when we found that the front desk had upgraded us (we are Priority Club members)... more

This hotel is in a wonderful location, close to the Lincoln's city centre and a short walk to the historical district that includes the castle and the famous cathedral. The. hotel is situated across from the large canal that runs through the city and has wonderful views from the front bedrooms. There are numerous bars and restaurants in very close... more

I have stayed at this hotel many times and amazed by the number of negative comments . I have always enjoyed my stay and any little niggles or issues have always been dealt with efficently and without fuss by its friendly staff. I think the hotel's location is really good and is one of the reasons I prefer to stay... more

A hotel well in need of a re-furb and does not warrant the night rate charged. The first room 405, hung in black cobwebs from the ceiling and smelt just like a nursing home. The heaters were inadequate - the first one had to be switched off as it constantly knocked and banged throughout the night and kept us awake.... more

Basic hotel, in a good location for shoppers, and nightclubbers, but definately not the best location for Lincoln tourists. It is at the bottom of the hill, just on the edge of the town centre. The waterfront has several new restaurants, but they're nothing special. There is a cinema two minutes' walk from the hotel, that's cool. But the area... more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn on December the 9th for the Christmas market and booked two double rooms with breakfast at £98.00 per room. We arrived early and was allocated upgraded rooms to executive suites which was a nice surprise. Although we get the larger executive rooms they were nothing special and were not much larger than the standard... more
