I have had three recent stays at the Lord Nelson Hotel and they were very enjoyable. I found both the staff and the manager to be friendly, polite and helpful. Both the rooms I stayed in were clean and tidy. The continental breakfast was good too.The hotel is only a five minute walk from the coach station and is situated opposite the... more

Stayed 3 nights and and found the room adquate clean and newly decorated with an excellent modern bathroom plus tea & coffee facility and a TV. Negative points would be nosie from th Dugout Bar particularly on Saturday night, nowhere to hang the towels and no chairs.Breakfast service a little erratic but otherwise ok for a continental breakfast. more

The hotel has one main thing going for it, it's location, and especially its proximity to Liverpool Lime Street station. Apart from this the hotel suffers from very basic rooms (no TV in the rooms and old fixtures and fittings), outdated bathroom furniture (shower heads that didn't fit onto the wall, a basin in the room rather than in the... more

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the location was really fantastic; I could walk to Albert Dock in about 15 minutes or less. However, I am an incredibly low-maintenance person and I wasn't expecting very much. And that's really what you can expect: not much. This is a no frills hotel; just a bed and a bathroom (no TV,... more

The hotel is in a great location, however that's its only quality. It's outdated, noisy (as it's next to a nightclub and hosts birthday parties), breakfasts are rubbish and rooms not that great. Definitely wouldn't recommend it to people seeking relaxing evenings and quiet nights. Although some of the staff was nice and helpfull it didn't really convince me. I... more

Me and my wife booked late for the Mathew St Festival so were more than pleased with the hotels location - 50 metres from Lime St Station and a short walk to the City Centre & most of all, Mathew st! First impressions were good, White double fronted building with an airy reception area, residents bar and sports bar further... more

Never believed in ghosts until my stay here. There were noises from children playing in my bedroom with parents talking in the background. I heard children running up and down the corridor and going up and down in the lift. The following day I reported the noise only to be told there were no children in the hotel that night.... more
