Good location, friendly staff, tasty food-which was included in the cheap price. When we first got there, we were a little disappointed with the rooms given to us, but they moved us without complaint. We moved to a fab room overlooking the park. A really relaxing, easy-going place to stay. Will definitely go back in the new year. more

After reading previous reviews, I have to say, I wasn't sure what to expect from this hotel but ..... it was absolutely lovely. I had room 7 and it was gorgeous little double room at the top of the hotel. It had lovely furnishings and really nice big bathroom with a modern shower cubicle. It was comfortable, clean, modern and... more

My mother stayed at the Blenheim Lakeside Hotel for a week. She is 75 years old and loved every minute of it!!! The staff were the best I've ever come across!!! They couldn't do enough for my Mother...!! I have travelled a lot and I must say this hotel was home from home!!! The kindness that was shown and nothing... more

Had booked room with double bed and ensuite. When we arrived room was on top floor and very small. Given family room with 3 beds and ensuite and no extra price. Shower in ensuite actually had hot water and good water pressure (often a rarity in the UK). Room was cold due to weather and heating did not come on;... more

I stayed there for one night over the weekend. Not a lot of indepth information to comment on as I just used it purely as a base but at £35 was excellent value for money. Hotel in good order, staff friendly and helpful...just two things to say, my shower had somebodys old shower gel packets in it on the shelf... more

Good location a few bus stops or a £7 taxi ride from the city centre. Staff friendly and bar busy with locals on Friday night which created a good atmosphere. Don't bother paying extra for evening meal package. Evening meals are all 1 course and all cost £4.50 to buy anyway. Stodgy fare- lasagne, pie, fish, chilli, all with chips.... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at this place, I agree with some of the points, the room was quite small and cold (at that time - although no problem for us). The room was somewhat dated although clean and importantly the shower was really hot although the ensuite was really small. As we tend to use hotel rooms to go... more

This has got to be the worst hotel in Liverpool. Although idylically situated near a nice park and lake, the place is outdated, cold, dirty and service standards are absolutely horrendous. Avoid at all costs. more

We stayed for 1 night (a friday) and were disappointed. The building is lovely, but the room was sub standard for the price that we paid. Our room (room 1) overlooked the main road, it was tiny with only just enough room to walk round the bed and the carpet had seen better days. There was a basin in the... more

Arrived at the hotel to terrible cooking smells, smelt like boiling cabbage. were given a room on the top floor that was more like a single than a double. The weather that day was torrential rain and it was freezing cold, the room was like an ice box. We asked for the radiators to be turned on and we were... more
