The last hotel I reviewed was the One and Only Royal Mirage in Dubai. From the sublime to the rediculous! We checked into the Sir Thomas on Saturday morning after leaving the car in the designated car park.We were told 'Oh we don't use that car park now!' despite having printed instructions off their website the day before.'Oh we are updating... Myself and my fiance stayed at this hotel for two nights and still recommend it to friends and family. It was perfectly central to everything. Downstairs is lovely. The cocktails are brilliant, there's a good vibe, and the breakfast was fab! The rooms aren't AS great, but I didn't notice anything that wasn't tidy. The rooms are quite small, and... More

I booked in for a celebratory Boxing Day meal with the family at the Sir Thomas Hotel and have to say that the experience was a complete disappointment Notwithstanding the lack of festive atmosphere, the service was appallingly disorganised. We were seated in the empty restaurant for forty minutes without our drinks order being taken (the waiter that earlier offered... More

Exterior of the hotel looks very plush and entering the bar first impressions were good however after ordering drinks and sitting down we found alot of the couches to be heavily marked and other had seats where stuffing exposed things the dim lighting in the bar hides well to start with - the room (203) was not as advertised on... We had a wonderful stay at Sir Thomas when visiting Liverpool this time. It's close to Matthew Street, Docklands and Liverpool One. It's a small and cosy hotel, felt a little like home. Serviceminded and helpful staff, Beds were fine and we slept very good. Traditional breakfast, no higher standard. More

The hotel's location is absolutely perfect, so are the staff. The actual hotel is a bit dated but very clean and pleasant. Great price (OR SO WE THOUGHT!!). We were overcharged by a considerable amount (over twice our room amount) and were then charged by the bank for an unauthorised payment!! We then contacted the hotel as this was their... More

After reading a few bad reviews I must admit I was hesitant about staying at this hotel. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Our room was lovely, and the food and service was excellent! The hotel is gorgeous and perfectly situated. The staff here were so friendly, especially one of the managers, Kelly, who was particularly helpful and went out of... More

(he thinks there may have been change of management) When we arrived we were straight away asked by a pre auth of £100.00 security for the roomon my Visa Card(standard procedure aparently)which was... My husband and I traveled form the US to visit Liverpool. We stayed at the Sir Thomas because it seemed to be an old Liverpool landmark. I was a bit concerned due to all of the negative reviews, so I e-mailed the hotel and they assured me that we would be in a very nice room away from the noise.... More
