My employers needed me to work in London for 2 months and booked a studio flat at 22 Devonshire Terrace. If you Google this a/d it appears as 'Savers Hotel' although there's no other mention of the word hotel on the web. "Your flat looks nice and airy." said our admin lady.
She had not visited. I looked at the website and it looked fine. But having said that I've never seen a microwave meal that looks as good as it does on the packet.
Well I arrived by cab. Went in the main door and found a window about the size of a TV screen with the word 'Reception' above it. Peered in and saw an old chair with a pillow on it and on craning my neck espied the TV set that the occupant had been watching. An African bloke lurched over and I gave my name, He just flipped me some keys and siad, "Number five."
Number five was reached by walking downhill. 'Light and airy' seemed less likely.
