You get what you pay for I guess. The hotel is OK, but nothing more. The bed is hard and uncomfortable and the rooms are very tight, we crashed into one another all the time trying to get around in the room. The rooms arn't really that small, but just badly planned I guess. The english breakfast is very poor,... More

Spent the weekend at this hotel. (17th May) This was our second stay here. The President Hotel is in a good location for Covent Garden and Theatreland and walking distance from Euston and Kings X Stations. The rooms are clean but a bit dated, with the most horrendous prints on the wall..Art work it certainly is not... The shower has... More

stayed at the president as part of a theatre ticket package, arrived around lunch time and unexpectedly were able to get into our room straight away. The room was a little bit tired but clean, no shower gel or shampoo in the room only bars of soap also no hair dryer, these had to be obtained from reception after leaving... More

Opinion seems to vary greatly as far as this hotel is concerned. As is often the case, I believe some people pay budget prices expecting luxury and this seems to form the basis of some of the negative reviews. This is basic hotel in all aspects, I have stayed there on 3 separate occasions and I have had no complaints,... More

I've stayed here twice, a few years ago. The first was for three weeks. I had a single room which was located on the top floor. Room was small but perfect for one person. Continental breakfast was located in a room a few floors down, which was perfect as I'd stuck up before I did my galavanting. Second time was... More

When we travel to the big cities we tend to look for, location rather than luxury and the Presidential has this. Superb location, very close to Russell Square Tube Station and plenty of eateries around the Hotel. The room we had was neat and clean, the bed very comfortable. We had a bit of street noise but being so tired... More

I booked to stay in a single room, thinking single occupancy not single room, as the hotel was adjacent to a conference I was attending in London. This is a cheap 3* hotel, but even a backpackers would have been more comfortable and cleaner than here. Room in only twice as wide as the single bed in it. Initially I... More

Stayed at the hotel for just one night last week for an early morning Eurostar departure, for which it is convenient, Russell Square Undergound two minutes walk away, and one stop to Kings Cross/ St Pancras. Hotel reception etc is fine but our room 621 overlooking Russell Square was a bit tired, noisy at night even with the window closed,... More

I would call this a no-frills hotel, with a great location in Russell Square. You can walk to the Piccadilly line of The Underground and the British Museum. There is also walkable access to: Tesco Express convenience store (fresh fruit and yogurt, instant cereal and all kinds of snacks); a pub (we never stopped in but a friend recommended it)... More
