Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Book this room as part of a package through British Airways, and we were very impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff, as well as with the location. Getting around London from hotel was very very easy, due to its proximity to the underground. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, would likely stay here again. Next time we visit London.

Hotel's Favourite
This was our latest stay at the hotel and there was nothing to disappoint. From the friendly and helpful staff to the well appointed room, we had everything we needed. The kitchenette area was a godsend as we were able to cater for ourselves when we needed to. The location is great for travelling to the host of attractions London has to offer. There were so many within a reasonable walking distance (especially if this was on a strike day) and if slightly further, the tube or bus connections were readily available. We'll always choose to stay at the this Resident hotel when we return for future holidays.

Responded 29 Aug 2022
Dear Michael M, Thank you for again for a such lovely review following your return visit with us. Happy to hear that again we have exceeded your expectations and that we have everything you needed this visit. Our kitchenette is indeed very convenient to have, can easily store food and snacks. A great money saving tip. It is also good to know that we offer a fridge refill service, you simply give us a food grocery list prior arrival and we do the shopping for you. Something to consider on your next visit. We look forward to welcome you again! Kind regards, Edgardo Cruz Reception Manager

A fantastic stay at the Resident Kensington. We were greeted by the lovely team on the front desk who were very friendly. They took the time to explain the local area and where to get a decent breakfast while we waited for our room to be ready. When we checked in they had taken our luggage to the room and left us a nice bottle of wine and a card. Hospitality at its best! Our room was cosy and comfortable, the bed especially was wonderful to sleep on. Our room had a kitchenette which I think is available in all rooms. Great for a morning coffee. The area around the hotel is really nice too, the streets nearby are peaceful and very close by is a high street with many shops. It is also very close to the nearest metro which can take you all over London. All in all we had a truly wonderful stay and on our next London adventure we know exactly where we will be staying!

This hotel is neat, clean, and extremely welcoming. The front desk staff were kind and welcoming. It has a great location, bright rooms, and I'd highly recommend. The rooms include a kitchenette, which was great for little snacks in. They also host a complimentary happy hour every night which I enjoyed. You won't regret staying here!

I booked a deluxe room on their website.I requested a room on a high floor facing the street.Instead I was given a street level room facing a Mews that was used as a car park.I should add that the garbage bins were directly across the Mews from my room.I requested another room but they could only accommodate me half way through my trip - I declined the offer given that I had already unpacked

I stayed at the Resident Kensington over a long weekend in London in March 2024. It's a great little hotel for a city break in London. Situated just a block and a half from Earl's Court underground station, the Resident Kensington is surrounded by a bunch of cafes and little shops on Cromwell Street. It's also very conveniently located to Knightsbridge shopping and the natural history museum, Hyde Park, and the V&A. I got a double room. The room was nicely appointed, the bed was comfortable, and the temperature control worked great. Water pressure was good and hot water was almost instantaneous. Though I got a double room, the square footage left something to be desired. I couldn't imagine two people staying in the room at the same time and not hating each other by the end of the stay. Everyone I ran into was super nice. Check in was very friendly and let me check in a little bit early. Housekeeping was okay though one day I came back at 3:30 p.m. and they had just begun turning over my room. They acknowledged my third party booking site VIP status as well, which was nice. I would definitely stay again, but probably spring for a larger space, when I'm in London again.
