Location-wise, the Grapevine Hotel is really not that close to Victoria Station. I had a great stay!!!! I just loved the place. It's a terrific location. You could walk to the palace, Big Ben, the eye, or catch the tube at Victoria Station. I read all the reviews of this hotel before I booked and decided to book anyway. It wasn't nearly as bad as I'd expected - it was comparitively cheap [well this IS London!] and in a great location - only a few minutes walk from Victoria coach/underground/main line trains/Gatwick Express. Where do I start? The entrance is in another hotel for one, so was quite confusing to check in as we didnt know where it was. They also charged us on arrival for our entire stay despite website we booked with saying pay on departure- so we were stuck there for the whole week. I bet that's the only way... more

I´d expected the worst, according to some reviews. Really, please don´t deep nuzzle of sink drain, don´t look at corners of shower too closely. Instead - have a tea, or coffee from prepared bags, have a toast with jam and butter for breakfast (I really didn´t expect a full english breakfast under a 70,-GBP/4bed) and go for 10min. to Victoria... more
