Amazing old manor house that has been renovated into a chic boutique hotel. At its doorstep is both Wimbledon Common and Cannizaro Park. We went horse riding in the park, and visited the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum which were within walking distances. We drove to Hampton Court Palace and Richmond which were 10min drive away. Please do not misunderstand me, this is a sumptuous hotel superbly located on Wimbledon Common. The surroundings are stunning and the stylish interior is undeniably alluring. Just back from my fabulous chums wedding at Cannizaro. We live in Jersey but I used to work in London and miss miss miss it. Having Spent a weekend at The Cannizaro House I had to write a review to inform other potential guests of my experience or should I say warn other potential guests! We stayed here as we were attending a family event nearby and were recommended this hotel as a place to stay. We checked in early without any problem. The hotel has a very nice feeling to it - faded grandeur, dated but pleasantly so. Our room was nice although the large tree just outside our window made it very dark... more

I stayed there for business and was given an upgraded room. It was not cheap - about $400US a night. It was decorated very nice. But...my room was hot. I just had a tiny window and it was storming outside, the air conditioner was loud and ineffective, so it was a tad uncomfortable. Pillows were not comfortable - kind of... more
