4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2013 NEW

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was good value for the location. Good breakfast was also included. If you are looking for good location with reasonable cost this property is a good choice. My lower level room was tiny and smelled musty so had to keep window open. Luckily it was not too cold or too noisy.

I've been staying there with my husband for 6 nights this May.i checked the past reviews and recommendations of the previous guests before booking which was pretty fine in terms of location, rooms & services .But from the 1st minute we got there we were extremely disappointed! We paid for an executive room to find our selves staying in a... More

We had 6 rooms for 3 days on a family holiday.this hotel is everything we were looking for on our visit to london. And of course we expected a few quirks like creaky floor boards and tiny lifts and narrow stairs ,but the staff ...loved Gabriel..were great, bathrooms excellent, beds good, great breaky, do not hesitate if you are cosidering this place,do not... The best thing about this hotel was the location. The nearest bus stop was a 3min walk and the nearest tube station was a 5min walk. The rooms are small but you don't expect them to be any bigger. But they are clean and have an excellent wifi connection. Oxford Street is a 7min bus ride away and Covent Garden... More

Thank you for your comments. We really appreciate you taking the time. Our rooms are fairly typical of most Victorian style hotels like ours. The rooms do vary in size but we do have Executive rooms that are very spacious. We do take great pride in the cleanliness of our hotel. GeneraL Manager More

If you are claustrophobic or a large person, do not stay in this hotel. The corridors narrow to about 2 feet across in places and the lifts (elevators) will hold 3 people at most. The picture shown in the ad must be one of their suites, because it doesn't resemble the room we had. Our room was very small and... More

The best feature of this hotel is its location, very near Hyde Park and the Underground Central (Red) Line, in a quiet neighborhood. The immense and lovely park is just a few blocks to the South. A small choice of local restaurants are near to the Lancaster Gate underground station on Bays water. There is more of a commercial presence... More

I chose this hotel based upon reviews and for the location. Let me say the location is perfect for just about everything you want to see and do in London...about half way between Notting Hill and Marble Arch - right across the street from The Lancaster Gate of Hyde Park - just a perfect location as London is very much... We went to this hotel to celebrate my birthday. When we checked in, we found out we've been upgraded to their most expensive suite, for free! It was a fantastic experience to stay in the Viceroy Suite. The breakfast was very good, the staff super friendly and the location next to Hyde Park but not on a busy street and... More

I have stayed at the Commodore about 20 times over the last 3 years for work. They are extremely friendly and remember what drink I like at breakfast between trips. The staff are long serving which to me says a lot about the management of the hotel, in an industry where staff turnover can be high. Rooms are of varying... More

Stayed here in March and got a room on the 7th floor. Problem is that the tiny elevators only go to the 6th floor. Sprained my ankle lugging the suitcase up the narrow winding staircase up to the 7th floor. Room was pleasant but quite small. Problem was you couldn't turn off the heat. We had the window open pretty... More
