- Ambassadors Hotel London

I booked this hotel through a travel agency, and it was the best one out of the two. I was nervous to stay here from the reviews I saw, but I was pleasently surprised. The hotel is located in a very nice area of London. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and heplful. Our room looked as if...

The place won't make the best first impression. Staff is very freindly, rooms are clena but small, could benefit from refurbishment. Enjoyed the location in the south -west part of London, with some pubs and bars around. Don't expect anything wild though!

The hotel is cold. Noisy. Messy. Old. The rooms are small. The bathroom is all broken and not ventilated. Leave out the smell of the toilet in the room. The smell is nauseating during the entire stay. The hotel need reforms. The breakfast room is in the works and the breakfast buffet is served in boxes to be eaten in...

We checked in with my boyfriend for 4 nights from last Tuesday and checked out on Saturday. I have to say this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Bathroom is old, and shower curtain is dirty (rail all rusted). Ceiling has black marks, and basin is too small.
Our room was not cleaned the first day (for some...

Being this is my second time in London, I stayed in the Ambassador Hotel. If you are after a quite hotel yet not too fair from the centre of London and one that will not break the bank I would recommend this hotel.
While I was here the hotel bar was closed for renovation (but that didn't bother me). On...

The reviews warn of basic which isn't a problem for my boyfriend and me, as we most often stay at hostels or camp and, man, do we wish that we had done the same for our weekend in London.
We arrive to a tight, overheated room (yes, we did let the staff know that the room was exceptionally warm) with...

In fairness my room was clean, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fine although there was no water pressure.
I wouldn't stay here for a romantic weekend but as somewhere to crash out for a night its OK...just OK.

We checked in given the key and directed to our room which was downstairs, we were told it was the only floor with air conditioning. We entered our room to discover that it was already occupied as items were out in the room, of course we returned to reception. No apology or explanation, they just gave us another key. So...

I've used this hotel on and off for a few years. The location is great - short walk to the Gloucester Road Tube. Unfortunately the rooms are a very mixed bag one has to say. My latest room was not bad, clean and the bed was ok, but the bathroom was complete rubbish. Basin was tiny and the shower was...
