Although the hotel is in a wonderful location just off Embankment, and the write up promised marvellous views I was disappointed to be given a room with a view into a gloomy internal courtyard with the bottom part of the window frosted. I stayed at the Royal Horseguards in December 2011 for 2 nights. The room (a deluxe double) was large, well-furnished and the beds were very comfortable.
