Spent 2 nights at this guest house in March. It is a lovely Edwardian building in a great residential area near Finchley Road tube station. The double room was spacious with comfy bed and lots of storage cupboards. It had the smallest bathroom I have ever seen. The shower was ok but it took ages for hot water to flow... More

It was bucketing down with rain when I went to check in at Dawson House, so trying to find a parking space on the road was a bit of an issue - it's pretty tight. The single room was small with one of those "unit" fitted bathrooms which was basic but adequate. The curtains weren't brilliant- didn't close properly- but... More

The owners of this little bed and breakfast were very hospitable. It was a bit of a walk from the nearest tube station (West Hampstead) but was easy enough to find. The room was cosy, but a bit of a squeeze with the two of us and all our luggage. The bed was comfortable though and it was clean and... More

This B&B seems a little out of the way but is actually in quite a good location and in a quiet area. The rooms are nothing special and a bit small and the en suite toilets are in a demountable type shell with the shower being tiny and the toilet seat not able to stay up by itself. That being... This hotel situated off the Finchley Road is housed in an old Victorian house. Very quiet except for the floor boards which tend to creak a bit. My room was enormous with three beds but only one radiator which was not sufficient to heat the room. Bad news as it was about -2 degrees outside. There is a nice garden... More

We stayed here for 14 nights during the Olympic games. Was a fantastic location, on the Jubilee train line and quick access to London, Olympic Park and on the same line as Wembley Stadium so you avoid the main crowd coming from the city. Also easy access to Wimbledon on the tube. Most mornings we missed breakfast (too many late... More

lovely quiet backwater but good access to central london, not huge rooms and even less huge bathroom, but great value, friendly staff and great breakfast - all round really good value for money - 24hr wifi thrown in.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a group spending a few days walking in London.Priced at £93 per night - it is now £97 - it does not compare with offers advertised from the likes of the Holiday Inn, Thistle etc.The room felt dingy and redecoration was long overdue. The pillows failed my "pillow test" in that they... I stayed for 2 nights whilst accessing a course in St John's Wood. It was clean and the breakfasts were also good. For London in a quiet area, it was good value for money. Some of the male staff could have been more helpful, but I can forgive them as overall for me it met my needs. My single room... More

This review is a "game of two halves". Please read on... Other reviews have pointed out, fairly in most cases, the shortcomings of this "hotel": 1. It isn't a "hotel" it's a bog standard B&B. 2. There are no public areas for guests (access to the prominently advertised and nice looking garden is NOT straightforward...getting at it is more dream... More
