The hotel itselv was OK, could be cleaner, e.g. the cups for making coffee or tea were used by the guest before us. What really made me angry was when I payed. I requested especially that my VISA card should be charged in GBP and not in my local currency Danish Crowns as I know that very bad exchange rates... more
We have just booked our favorite room at Wigmore Court Hotel for the fourteenth time. We always choose room one, because it is on the ground floor facing the street, allowing us to look out in the morning for an idea of the weather and whether we will need coats, sweaters, or umbrellas. The traffic and occasional siren do not... more
My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night as we both had weeknight work dos to go to and didn't want to attempt our normal long commute home late at night. The hotel was very conveniently located for what we needed and was comfortable enough but nothing special. We didn't pay that much for the room and breakfast so... more
I have to hand it to the young woman that checked me in, she was extremely courteous and even insisted on carrying my not-so-light suitcase up 4 flights of stairs. That's right, no lift in this hotel. The room was okay though it was missing a few things. An alarm clock for example but the front desk does offer wake-up... more
We stayed at the Wigmore Court for four nights at the end of July and were satisfied but not blown away by our stay. Basically, we found the staff to be very helpful - they allowed us to check e-mail on the office computer, and did not charge us for use of a baby crib - but the hotel environs... more

The Hotel appeared very 'tired' looking and in need of a face lift. The breakfasts were very monotonous and the breakfast room in the basement was cramped. However we were pleasantly surprised... more
We (4 people) stayed in this hotel feb 16 to 21st, and found it an experience we hope not to repeat. It is centrally located and the rooms are large but that is where the good stuff ends. We stayed in rooms 11 and 33 as we needed to be moved during the trip as they sold the first room... more
I stayed at this hotel based on a review I read in Frommers. It's a well run hotel with very reasonable prices for London (80 pounds a night). The breakfast is quite good and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful. It's also well located, about a 5 minute walk from Oxford street (for great shopping) and... more
Our room was quite beautiful, comfortable, and convenient. Breakfast was tasty and enough for us and the ladies kept the tea and toast available. Desk staff were helpful. We especially enjoyed the combo bath-shower as we had a young child with us. In the future we would like to be away from the street (noise), but were able to sleep... more
