I will not bore readers by repeating the very positive things written by other Trip Advisors except to say that we were delighted with our stay Location perfect at the right price BUT Unless you are a mountain goat...and I am not joking...do NOT have a room on the top floor as the hotel does not have a lift and... The Parkwood is in a restored townhouse in a fancy part of town. (Cherie and Tony live around the corner, I'm told.) But just a few steps down the street and you're on busy and dirty Oxford Street. The Underground station is four or five blocks away. As other reviewers have noted, the rooms are tiny. To close the curtains... More

Well located to amenities and Hyde Park, a pleasant staff with full English breakfast provided. An unexpected change in my planning intinerary was quickly accomodated by an extra night stay. With travelling all over southern England the double room provided was a good value for the dollar by comparison to other places I had stayed. You were 5 minutes from... More

We are returning customers to this Hotel, we stayed for 3 nights recently and the hotel is very welcoming and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are small, however they are very clean and comfortable, the prince is very reasonable as you are located right on marble arch where you can walk to Hyde park and BUckingham Palace. The... My husband and I are here on our first visit to London. We are travelling with friends who have stayed at the Parkwood before. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The staff here have been awesome and very helpful. It is a great location, got real value from the hop on hop off bus which the staff... More

Our family of four squeezed into a room at the Parkwood. It was tight, but comfortable, typical for London. The breakfast was amazing and filled us up. It was situated in an area with a large Middle Eastern community. It was difficult to find pubs and restaurants, but a ton of Middle Eastern food. It was close to the Tube... More

The reviews for Parkwood definitely helped me to decide where to stay. There were no unpleasant surprises. As a solo traveler I was in one of the single rooms with a shared bathroom. This might cause some people anxiety, but the truth is I never had a problem with access and the bathrooms were always clean and well stocked. My... More

For a trip with my daughter last July, the location of the hotel was perfect (Hyde Park/Marble Arch/Oxford Street area). Its on a very small side street - even a taxi driver and a local had trouble giving us directions. Hotel was full upon arrival and we were given the basement room which was the worst room in the entire... More

Firstly, I would like to thank the reviewer for taking the trouble to mention that the "location of the hotel was perfect" and "the staff and breakfast were nice". All the rooms in the Parkwood are very similar in style and decor whichever floor they are on and the room in question, room 18, is one that is often requested... More

Second stay at the Parkwood. This time had a room on the 1st floor with 2 single beds. Room was in good condition just as the previous one was. Still can't beat the location many bus lines and a very convienent tube station. Nice that breakfast is included and cooked when you order it. Rooms are typical size for this... More

We stayed in early March 2013 for 6 nights and found the reviews helpful in making our choice. The small hotel, located close to the tube stop (Marble Arch), is average to above average for its amenities such as room size, breakfast, cleanliness. It is a bit old and small, but this is common in central London. We had no... More
