Good location, near the British Museum. Rooms would need some new carpets and furniture, and the cold air is coming in through the "guillotine" window.... Three of us had the room at the top of the very narrow stairs but..... great value for money - the floor boards creaked like crazy but that added to the charm. Had a fabulous long weekend at the Thanet. It has family rooms for a family of 5 and the owners were wonderful in leaving Champagne for us after finding out my husband had recently returned from working abroad. The hotel was in walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go that weekend - a bonus as I hate the tube.... More
