    Opening Day!
Having Driven down from North East Scotland to take a group down, i couldn't come and not have a go myself. I used my Student Discount on the day and paid £25. The on the gate price would have been £62 otherwise. Which is incredibly steep for what's on offer. The £37 early bird prebook price would have been more acceptable. I was amazed at how relatively small the park is. Everything is within 10 minutes walk. Not gargantuan like Alton Towers. Though not so well themed. The park seemed as clean as you would expect. It was incredibly quiet. Queue times relatively short. Rides were breaking down in regular intervals due to wind and rain. I only rode The Swarm, Saw, Walking Dead. (Theme parks aren't really much fun on your own) but i am technically working and being paid to be here. (Bus driver) The rides were great! I was glad of a walk round the park. I've spent 5 hours here. And well worth the £25 entry fee. I can imagine the park being incredibly busy in summer due to the parks size, lack of dark rides. Its a rollercoaster haven. Reminds me of Knottsberry in California. But i wouldn't rate it as good as Alton Towers. And would see something like Black Pool Pleasure beach as better Value for money. All in all, an enjoyable experience at this price point, but i won't be back.
Hi there, Thank you for leaving you feedback. We are happy to hear you had an overall enjoyable experience and that you liked the rides! The park does get much busier in peak times, especially in the Summer. Kind regards, Isabelle | Customer Service Thorpe Park Resort

Thorpe Park Opening Weekend was great 👍
Absolutely brilliant to get back to the Island like no other after a long winter. Really busy as expected as it was opening weekend. Ride availability was a bit of an issue earlier on in the day and waited 1 hr and 10 mins for Saw the ride instead of 45 mins as the ride was on reduced capacity with only 3-4/5 trains in action. Great to get on the retheme of Storm in a teacup: Dobble tea party! Detonator was open for only a few hours in the morning due to high winds and never reopened again during the day, however a lot of test runs were completed. Nice to see also the Last Call Cafe as part of Ghost Train opening later in the spring, was open. Saw the ride at one point was advertising a 100 minute queue so everyone headed to the Fastrack kiosk and crowded that. Apart from ride availability and early season operations, it was a very enjoyable day!
Hi there, We are very happy to hear you had an overall enjoyable time at the park. Thank you for being understanding in circumstances where we faced ride downtime and unplanned closures. We hope to welcome you back again in our 2023 season! King regards, Isabelle | Customer Services Thorpe Park Resort

3 awesome days at Thorpe park resort
I had 3 awesome days on the island like no other. Met loads of new people and also got on loads of rides. Rumba is running the best I've ever seen it and it is now an absolute soaker of a ride. So thank you to all the thorpe staff who was working over the opening weekend you did a fantastic job and I cant wait to return on the 16th of April.
Hi there, Thank you for your 5* Review and your kind comments :) We're so happy to hear you had an awesome time! It's great to hear you met loads of new people too. We look forward to welcoming you back soon! Kind regards, Isabelle | Customer Service Thorpe Park Resort

    Superb day out at GREAT…….THORPE…..PARK
What a fantastic day we had at this thrill seeking park! We were concerned about the rain when we arrived but once we were immersed in the “island like no other” it didn't impact our day one bit! It was a shame to see colossus and tidal wave closed for maintenance but this was clearly listed on the website pre arrival. We really hope tidal wave does open this year as it looked very tired and unused and it’s such a great spectacle for riders and onlookers! We braved Saw first, as it was running a low capacity and this was a great choice as it was busy all day. Right next to it samurai provided a great view of project exodus construction site (#excited!) whilst also being a thrilling and forceful ride! We also had 2 breathtaking rides on stealth which had superb operations, and the queue time rarely exceeded 20 minutes. On to Swarm, what a ride! The whole of swarm island is just fantastically themed and the first dive drop is just unbelievable! Though there were a few closures on this ride due to wind, we still had 2 great rides. The coasters are the draw card at this park but we have to mention the amazing operations on detonator, especially the commentary on the drop, creating atmosphere for not only the droppers but everyone around the surrounding area looking up and having a good laugh….choo choo! Overall, had an amazing day, can’t wait to come back!
Good morning, Thank you for leaving such a great 5* review! We are so pleased to hear that you had such a thrilling time, regardless of the rain. It is great that you managed to go on a few rides multiple times and that the queue waiting time didn’t impact negatively on your day. The Samurai does have lovely views and as you said, allows you to peek at our exciting new coasters progress. Weather, especially wind, can impact the availability of the rides, due to health and safety, but this is done in mind to keep our wonderful guests safe while at the park. It’s fantastic to hear that the commentary while on the Detonator kept you entertained. We are grateful for your comments and look forward to seeing you back soon! First visit
First time visiting the park, had a Decent first day. Although Some of the park could do with a lick of paint and a wee tidy up here and there. Showing some signs of age but it’s still a good theme park

Brilliant Day, Helpful staff, Amazing rollercoasters.
Absolutely incredible day! Rides had hardly any downtime, queue lines moved fast and plenty to look at whilst waiting! Staff were all very helpful… and the coasters, my god are they good. I am on the larger side and although it was a struggle to fit in a couple of them the staff took the time to squeeze me in! Also very glad they are doing some long awaited work on colossus.

    Great experience
Great experience. First time at a theme park. Wait times weren’t long, 45 mins was the longest wait, for Saw (think we just got there in good time) Had an issue in swarm with some idiots spitting at people on the rides, the staff dealt with it quickly.

wow. it was amazing. the rides are really really good and it was such a fun and enjoyable day. i got on all the roller coasters and everything that was interesting to me. i could only make one pointer, on saw the ride they let everyone who had fast track in at once rather than gradually meaning that people in the regular queue had to wait around 80 minutes. apart from this the day was really really good. the fast track is definitely worth buying for one ride is you are desperate to go on it

    Best day!
We had the best time ever at a theme park and we go regularly to all theme parks across the uk. The staff were fab and really helpful. We stayed at the shark Lodge and the 2 hour fast pass was the best bit. Please don't get rid of it as we want to come back with Dad after knee surgery. If it wasn't for that we would have missed out on a few rides. The shark Lodge was so clean and fun for the kids. The shark Lodge staff were lovely. We enjoyed the funny sarcasm of the Nemesis tanoy remarks. Kids kept laughing at that. The best theme park visit ever. Kelly
Hi there, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a 5* review! We are so pleased that you had such an incredible time, that's what we like to hear! As a team, we pride ourselves in creating the best experience possible for our guests and it's amazing that we could do that for you with our Shark Cabins and it's perks, alongside our staff's enthusiasm. We're glad your kids had a good laugh at Nemesis! We can't wait to welcome you back to the Island Like No Other, wishing the best for your Dad's surgery. It was very bomboclat and skibidi except when we had to queue up and I could feel my Rizz leaving me also saw has L Rizz now and my head hurt after. Orso we had to wait ages to get out tickets at the start cause people kept on sending us away and then we had to talk to this women how took ages and wasn’t a sigma. The ghost train was as bad as my friends Rizz (very bad) in the end it was a good day except I got bruised hips because of rush but I made sure I was mewing for the photo on stealth. SIGMA .

This is by far the best theme park in Europe. All of the attractions are amazingly fun and I have no doubt that when hyperia is open and people like Digital Dan are getting people to go to the park then the amount of people who visit will skyrocket. Overall an amazing place

We visited today as part of the blue light card day, four adults, a 6 year old and a three year old.

It started badly with awful car park queues. On the subject of the car park, I could not believe that they normally charge 15 pounds to park for over four hours, an eye watering rip off considering the price of the entrance ticket on a normal day, but luckily parking payment was waived today.
Once parked, we were met with another huge queue to simply enter the park. I'm sure you can begin to sense the theme of the day. Whilst in this queue I downloaded the park app and saw that most ride queues were already at least 60 minutes plus, with some of the bigger attractions at 80 minutes.
Finally we managed to enter. Walked in and saw straightaway that the flying fish was closed. This is one of four rides that both my children would be able to experience together so a huge disappointment. Nevertheless, we took them on the banana ride and my eldest managed to get on another two smaller rides. Managed to get one go on the high strike ride before it proceeded to close, and open, and close etc etc.
Whilst walking around fairly aimlessly looking for an attraction which was a) open, and b) we wouldn't have to queue for for half the day, it became apparent how much of the floor space in the park is devoted to fairground style games. These are all a disgusting rip off, being £3 for a single ball throw. Everything just felt like a real money making racket, including the numerous shops flogging tat and sweets for insane prices. For another example, the ben and Jerry's ice cream cafe was asking £5 for one single scoop. We swiftly exited before being fleeced there.
Us four adults managed just two of the bigger rides each which made even the reduced entrance fee for the blue light day feel extortionate. Stealth was great, despite the wait, and the staff were doing a good job of turning the carts around swiftly to ensure everyone got on as quickly as possible.
As childrens attractions were few and far between, we found depth charge which we could all go on together. Happy days, or so I thought. It was a 20 minute queue which wasn't too bad, however halfway up the queue a group of teenagers decided to push their way past everyone quite aggressively, claiming that they could do so on account of possessing fast passes. This ride did not have a fast track queue. They were confronted by a few people in the queue to no avail, and made it to the top and were allowed down. This was highlighted to a staff member but seemingly nothing was done about it. I don't blame the staff really as they'd just receive a mouthful if they tried to do anything, but it ruined the ride experience.
To top the day off, colossus was fully closed all day, nemesis was closed for the majority of the day (and then open, closed, open closed etc from there on) and swarm also seesawed between open and closed. Tidal wave and rapids also shut all day much to my 6 year olds disappointment.
I can only assume the other ride queues were so long due to the many closures of attractions across the site.
All in all, a really disappointing day which was supposed to be an enjoyable family day out. I don't think we'll be bothering to return.
One positive though - the cleanliness of the facilities. Every toilet we visited across the park was immaculate and stocked with paper and soap. The general cleanliness was to a good standard.
Such a shame that so much focus is seemingly put on making as much money as is possible at the expense of guest enjoyment.

Disappointed with Blue Light Card day today - the whole point is cheaper tickets and less queues and when I last came on a BLC day in November 23 - it was brilliant, barely any queues, kids had a ball. But today, there was a massive queue to get in the park to start with and long queues for all the rides. No different to a normal day at Thorpe Park. Not sure if this was due to so many rides being closed or too many tickets sold or a combination of both. However it was not the experience we had anticipated and the kids were very frustrated!

We are here now, but are ready to leave.. it was raining when we arrived so we were expecting some of the rides to be closed, but no rain for nearly three hours and still most of the larger rides including the brand new one is closed! The other issue is that because there are so many rides closed the queues for the ones that are running is ridiculous! 90 mins for swarm! Been here three hours and managed one ride so far! Not even a busy day!
It's too loud with all bass on the sound effects and no way of getting away from it, sensory issues be damned!
Came on blue light day as it was the only way we could afford it but the cost plus arranging cover for my mum plus a three hour drive due to M25 being shut it's just not worth it.
Definitely not value for money and don't think we'll be back.
All the up-selling is dominant and really difficult when you have three kids.
If you suffer with migraine or have any sort of sensory issues steer clear, not family friendly.

A thrilling Health Services Day .
80% of the rides were open, it's a shame colossus was not open and a couple of the smaller ones like samurai. The most we waited for a ride was 30 minutes! Most you could get on within 10-15 minutes. Great day out with my teenage daughter. Can wait to come back when the new ride is open

Thorpe Park is a perfect day out, with an extensive collection of rides to choose from for the thrill seekers. However, my only complaint is that I feel it lacks rides for the younger audience as for majority of the rides you have to be 1.4m, which means that many children aren’t able to enjoy it. I feel a theme park should cater for everyone and this is a problem that needs to be fixed. On the brighter side, the rides are excellent and are all unique. As we went in March, the queues were very small and I believe that the queues are a lot better compared to other theme parks in the UK. There were many food and drinks stalls and the scenery was stunning. The staff were very friendly and patient if you were scared. Not to mention the easy parking just a short walk to the amenities and was a very quick process. I feel this is a perfect theme park for teenagers and adults.
