Whilst the hotel was fine for what we needed and a short walk to Camden, the receptionist was so rude, apparently you need ID to get your room key, why would I have my ID! She refused entry to us without it, When I asked what I was supposed to do when I’m 2 hours from home she shrugged her shoulders, luckily I was able to get someone to send me a copy of my ID but with all the GDPR guidelines I’m really sure this is not legal that this woman now has my ID details that I didn’t want to share, it is not visible on the booking details that you need ID, I’ve stayed in Nox hotels before and not needed ID but won’t be rushing back when they employ rude staff

receptionist was really weirdly arrogant and condescending for someone working in such a dump. didn’t feel safe, very uncomfortable tiny room, felt dirty, really difficult for two people to get ready. photos must be really really old, would not recommend.

I booked Online Reservations with NOX Hotel Belsize Park London. The last week of January 2024. It was being Refurbished when I arrived. The Website did not inform me about the Building work. Noisy building work. AVOID Lower Ground Floor Basement Room LG103. Lift up the Matress. It is Filthy. Dirty Sheets. The Female Receptionist with very long hair should be Trained in Customer Service skills. She was only interested in taking the Money. Not interested in Customer Satisfaction. Overpriced Rooms.

The only good thing about this hotel is it's location. Possibly this hotel was nice many years ago but absolutely not now. The vibe on arrival is one of a cheap hostel. The price reflects how tiny the rooms are, which if they were clean would be great but the reality is unacceptable. Really disappointing stay in room 107. Initially given room 104 which had a pool of water at foot of the bed. Staff did not hesitate to provide a different room. Sadly new room was much worse. I was told no other rooms available. The unbearable stench of damp and sewage coming from the bathroom left me feeling sick and completely ruined every aspect of my stay even outside the hotel as the stench stays in your nose. Due to the cold weather leaving the window open was challenging. My whole stay was awful. In addition the hygiene was sadly lacking e.g. the kettle had black gunky bits floating in it, the sink plug was full of hairs.... just unnecessarily nasty. On 2nd day when checking with reception if they could provide an alternative room, a notice had been printed and displayed on the desk stating the hotel is undergoing renovation and staff cannot help with any issues arising. This was not there on the day of arrival. The whole experience has been awful.…

First of all, very disappointed I’ve heard very good reviews on the hotel, when we finally stayed we found it was abysmal. When we got there we couldn’t get through the front door and waited 10 minutes in the cold to be let in and when we got into the room the walls were peeling and the floor looked a bit manky. Yet again later the key card didn’t open the front door and we got rudely told by the hotel staff that it was a push door… which we pushed. After I got in bed I found eyelashes and hairs all over the sheet which I found disgusting. Along with the room being dirty and hadn’t looked like it had been cleaned in ages, the room was uncomfortably cold all night and morning. The bathroom was falling apart with the roof having mold on it with bits peeling off it, the shower seal had almost completely fallen off, the plug was broken in the sink. The kettle didn’t fit under the sink and generally the room looked tired and grubby overall. Will not be planning to stay with this chain again…

It's great to be outside of central London, in a more relaxed area, but right at a tube stop and in a great neighbourhood, with Hampstead Heath mere minutes away. The hotel is well kept, clean, well equipped, and with friendly staff. Good linens, showers and kitchenette facility in the room we had. No breakfast included though. And warning, if you accept to book a room in the basement, they are without windows of course, so that's a little dark.

Just did not feel comfortable in room at all .Thankfully we were only staying 1night.I would not have stayed a second.Would not recommend to anyone.Avoid at all costs .

Nice quiet room with comfortable bed, coffee machine and hot shower. On the down side, the room did not have a single drawer or shelf. Toilet roll was not replaced and so we had to ask for more and there was not enough coffee. Handy for bus stop and tube station. Okay for a night or two.

The hotel is not the Haverstock Hotel. It is Nox hotel. No window boxes. Ghastly heavy front door with no handle. No replacement loo roll. Cobwebs above bed. Sticky floor in bathroom. Pillow case had not been changed.

In spite of some of the negative reviews, I booked this hotel since it was in the area I wanted. According to the TripAdvisor description breakfast is included. However, this is incorrect, breakfast is not available in this hotel, a fact I discovered only after making the booking. There are coffee- and tea-making facilities so we decided to buy pastries and breakfast in the room; however, there’s only one chair. The hotel, which was originally a pub, was obviously renovated to a high standard at the time but is starting to look tired. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is compact but sufficient and the shower is excellent. Our room was on the ground floor but we didn’t experience the noise issues that some guests have mentioned.
