Unfortunately, the Quaker International Centre closed its doors on 31st May 2004. For all of the guests, staff and volunteers who had worked there over the last 20 years it was a very sad day.
It was a homely place to stay and there is nothing else in London that could compare. Where else could you stay that didn't have that cold sterile feel of a 'regular' hotel? Where the staff actually gave you genuine smiles and remembered your first name or your favourite room?
Its such a shame, but I guess in the world we live in, good things always come to an end.
