We stay in Smart Hyde park inn hostel for 3 nights and it was ok. Price was low, the rooms are tiny but sheets are clean, water was hot, toilets clean,and that is what counts. Stayed in an 18-bed dorm for one night here. The location is excellent, right near some stations, with a Tesco nearby and pretty cheap Internet cafes. The room itself was a bit like a prison cell - tiny, cramped, dim light, and the bunks were stacked three high (instead of the usual two), which made for quite a climb up... more

It was very dirty and smelled. It had poor security, and half of the lockers didn't even lock correctly. My bed comforter was so gross i couldn't even put it on my bed, and my pillow smelled and had large yellow stains on it. Showers were horrible because there was only one shower for like a whole floor of people.... more

I stayed with 7 people at this hostel, and we all decided that it was ok, but not great. Our biggest problem was with the washrooms.
