Having just returned from the Baden Powell where we stayed because there was a very large group of us, i was pleasantly surprised. The (double) room was a lot bigger than i expected and there were tea & coffee making facilites with plenty of the stuff. There was also a desk and futon in our room. Plus en-suite toilet room... more

We stayed here with my two children at a very busy time of the year. Yes, the "ensuite" was tiny but we had a quiet and spacious family room with clean bedding. The hostel was basic but clean and all that we wanted as a base for our trip to London. My kids loved the buffet breakfast - especially the... more

We found some rat droppings on the floor, but appart from that it was fine. I didn't shower though as there was little room and it smelt strange (late 17th century musky scent) I suppose it's better than nothing =] more

It was ok, the rooms were cramped, and a bit manky to be honest. Had to make our own beds - was not impressed. Bathrooms were horrid - had a leg in the toilet whilst in shower it was that cramped. Also the window was broken - fell on me when i tried to open it. Plugs were too far... more

Meininger Baden-Powell House was terrible. The staff unfriendly and rude. Many things were not working, including the elevator! The water cooler didn't work, but the worst was the hallway door locks that were broken. When I asked for help on the broken lock the clerk was rude and unhelpful. All I wanted was to get to my room. The elevator not working,and... more

We had two great nights in this hostel. The staff were really helpful and friendly and it's in an excellent position for the Science, Natural History and V & A museums. Our twin room was basic but very clean and for the low cost it was ideal. We visited in preparation for a forthcoming school visit and it's ideal for... more
