We saw this B and B in Alastair Sawday's "Special Places to Stay". It was described as affordable but luxurious with continental or Dutch breakfast, exotic textiles and paintings. We rented both rooms for 2 couples for 5 nights. The owner was very pleasant and interesting but it was obvious that running a B and B was not at the top of the list. Breakfast consisted of 4 boxes of cereal on the table with juice, a fruit bowl and toast was delivered 2 slices at a time as the "toaster wasn't working right". Coffee was very good but 4 small cups at a time from a small coffee press. On two mornings we were asked if we wanted cheese or ham slices which we did and a small plate was provided. One morning there was no milk & the owner had to make a special trip to the local store. The ensuite bedroom on the 1st floor was adequate with a very large, nice bathroom and places for luggage.
