As my favourite area in London, I’ve stayed around Covent Carden many many times over the years (family, solo, business). First time here and would say it’s a great hotel for the money. Very very happy to return / recommend to others. The rooms are pretty small, basically furnished and you wouldn’t want to spend a lot of time in them I suspect. But … they are very clean, in a fantastic location and generally half the price of others around. Staff were all very friendly and efficient. I think the current Tripadvisor rating it’s quite hard. It put me off staying in the past, but this time I was on my own, last minute, weekend … and half the price of others. I was pleasantly surprised / will return.

Excellent position, central and well served. The room was pretty basic but good enough considered the price. Please just put thicker blinds and remember to check the bathrooms while cleaning so that nobody will find a used soapbar in the shower ever again

We stayed in a twin room with private bathroom on the third floor. Our room was facing the street but it wasn’t too noisy. We had large windows so the room was bright and airy. We were given a room with a double plus a single bed. Bed was comfortable. The room was a little dated and old fashioned. The attached bathroom was a little bit small with a shower curtain. Not many hooks in the bathroom. There’s a mini fridge and a small tv (not in front of the bed) at one side of the room. The reception counter staff was very friendly and our check in and out was very prompt. The only good thing was the very central and convenient location. It is about 5 minutes walk from Tottenham Court Road station.

I have stayed here before and it wasn't bad , clean and love the location. But this time my daughter and I got room 11. It was a single room really, so small with a 4 foot bed in it for 2 grown ups. We had to go top and tails. The small window looked on roofs and windows , awful. For the price we paid and no breakfast either. Pay a few pounds more and go somewhere decent. I would go near again

I seriously cannot fault this hotel really. Staff were amazing and accommodating with a lovely room. Will definitely be making this my base from now on as have tried several hotels all over with little success. I would say one little thing is the step isn't very visible in the basement rooms into the bathroom which I tripped many times but laughed it off. Will hopefully see you next year either around Easter or October again.

Very small room number 27. Bathroom dated and bed rammed into a corner , you had to climb over the other person to get out of bed. Fridge on top of a small drawer unit which moved when opened . Smallest tv I’ve ever seen in a hotel room . Towel soap and tea and coffee provided with kettle. Excellent location for theatre . Building works going on at rear of room so noisy from. 8am and think there was a elephant in the room above ! Would try and find better accommodation next time . Bed was comfy though

Booked little single room with bathroom. Very small but just what I needed without paying a fortune. Kettle, towels and little soap in room. Great location and friendly check in and out. Will use again.

I’m very conscious that most of my Trip Advisor reviews are good/excellent ones, thats because I use the app to research before I travel, and it leads me to good places. On this occasion, and by way of balance, this is a not so good review. A business trip, hotel not booked or chosen by me, and I’ll be honest about it. It is very well located for theatres and Covent Garden etc and in essence the interior is clean - very, very tired but its cleaned as well as you can clean something so worn out. Many of the reviews could actually convince you that it was worth booking, I could have been tempted myself I guess but in my opinion it doesn’t merit the write up it gets. It is nowhere near even the basic standards offered in a Premier Inn (I’m very happy in a Premier Inn, I’m not all about 4*/5* hotels. As previously mentioned the hotel and its fixtures and fittings are very tired and worn. The bedroom furniture is not even of a basic IKEA type quality. Room has tea/coffee facilities and (not plugged in) mini-fridge. A very wonky ceiling fan/light that wobbles worryingly and generally poor lighting for a room with another buildings external walls no more that 6’ from the only window - there is no natural light (Room 9 by the way). Bathroom was very small, you have to go in and close the door behind you to use it properly. I’m only 5’ 7” and couldn’t bend over to dry my legs unless I positioned myself at the right angle! There is desk and chair which wouldn’t pass for a child’s work space. Phone signal v poor in the room (that comes with an old building I accept) but wi-fi was very hit and miss, and very slow when ‘hitting’. I’ve travelled a fair bit, and this is the worst room I’ve stopped in by a country mile.

I stayed 1 night here with my sister and niece in a triple room. We very much enjoyed our stay. The photos don’t do this hotel justice - it looks more basic than it is in the online photos and at first I hesitated to book but the price and location were unbeatable so I jumped. So glad I did! Kudos to the cleaning staff we found the room and bedding spotless and fresh. It was comfortable, well appointed (even had a mini fridge) and spotlessly clean, and location was outstanding, what more can you ask for? If you’re looking for luxury look elsewhere but for me this hotel ticked all the boxes and I’ll definitely be booking again on my next trip to London.

Myself and my partner stayed at the Seven Dials this week, we arrived on Tuesday and checked out today. The location is brilliant, smack bang in Covent Garden. We booked the annexe for two days at a total of £140. This didn't have breakfast included. When arriving at the annexe there was a few issues: 1. The window in the apartment was being held open by a empty water bottle.. 2. The ceiling fan and light weren't working. 3. The spare fan that was supplied was full of dust and again wasn't working. 4. The toilet flushing system was horrendous. 5. The plug next to the TV doesn't work. I emailed the reception that evening to explain everything and Lyndsey emailed me back saying someone would come over the follow morning to sort out these issues? The following day we were out most of the day until around 3.30pm, we came back to the apartment and nothing had been done. I rang the reception and was told someone came over to fix it, this didn't happen. Needless to say in London it's been around 28° this week and we had no fan or Aircon of any kind, luckily my partner managed to fix the ceiling fan as best he could, we put the ceiling fan on and it's extremely loose on the ceiling? Someone definitely didn't check this out. All in all I'd say the location is brilliant but the rest just really wasn't worth the money we paid. Will definitely be looking to stay somewhere else next time. There was absolutely no compensation offered and not even a change of apartment or room offered. Very disappointing.
