Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was an extremely busy hotel. Lots of kids hanging around in reception. Not the hotels fault but it meant checkin was challenging as it was so noisy and you literally couldn’t get close to the desk. Reception staff helpful but then interrupted by a harassed member of staff (I assume a senior one) who was a little rude to the lady checking me in. Despite this the original person did her very best to keep a smile on her face. The room was exactly as you expect clean and tidy with the added benefit of opening windows. The hotel does look a bit tired and could do with some work as public toilets downstairs with broken seats and dirty handles. Worst part was breakfast. Waited over 15 mins to sit down and no one came. Then I just sat down anyway. I soon realised why. There was 1 member of staff running the service. She was literally running to clean tables and reset them. Definitely not her fault as she was an exceptionally hard worker! When rushing around she even smiled and apologised no complaining about being so overstretched. As she rushed to scrape plates and clear up what was the busiest breakfast room I have ever seen she even had a joke with me. I was tempted to get up and help her but I had to leave. What an amazing lady. As each table was cleared people sat down. Premier Inn. You need to look after these staff and employ some more people! Finally I paid for parking 24hr. That’s not true. You have to get out as soon as you checkout. And the car park is stinking with rubbish everywhere. Rat trap if ever I saw one.

The staff was amazing. Especially, Lakshmi. She went out of her way to make us comfortable and welcomed. My elderly mother was treated with such care and attention. The restaurant was very nice. The breakfast was hot, delicious and varied. We will come again.

Great for the price paid! Was surprised how little road noise I could hear with how close to a main road we are. The breakfast team (Lakshimi, Aron and Payal) were lovely, didn’t need to book, just walked in (though I did stay in a Thursday, so I imagine booking at the weekend might be a good idea) 😊

Without being an afficionado, I have stayed in quite a few Premier Inn's and this one was a little off the pace. No problems with the room which was comfortable. Fellow guests were fairly loud. Breakfast was not the best I have had - eggs were pre-cooked and the single option was to have a sunnyside up where the albumen was slightly unset. Turns my stomach. The supper was lovely and the service team then were super great - making the stay in general feel better. No question that I would still stay at a Premier Inn again. just that this was not a winner.

I keep replying to your email sharing our poor experience, but here it is in bullet points Room we booked was not allocated so 20 minutes to check in Sewing needle on the floor, stuck in daughter’s foot, and a small amount of blood on the wall in the room, not from my daughter. Hair from the last visitor on the bathroom wall by the bath had to be washed down. No one in reception to report these issues when we went down for dinner. Dinner was very nice and good value for money. No sleep was had by either of us all night, as there was a drowning sound all night long from the roof above us, it was in the hotel not from outside. we guessed it was the air-conditioning units on top of the hotel roof as we were on the top floor. The whole point of travelling down in the evening and staying at your hotel was so that we were fresh for the morning and a full day ahead in London. Having had no sleep. This was a complete waste of money and in fact we were more tired than if we had driven down early in the morning. So having spent money for a hotel overnight and food for the evening we felt this was a waste of funds . We tried to report our findings in the morning and checking out, but again no one was available to hear our concerns about having no sleep during the night and indeed the cleanliness of the room. I have also written to Premier Inn, but at this point in time we have received no reply back .

Staff were rude got our booking wrong then blamed us, didn’t want to accommodate at all… got mad when another member of staff did eventually try and help us, put us on a very top room floor cramped in a room in the corner of the hotel , the room had damp also the shower only got hot at night , freezing in the morning… reception staff attitude so disrespectful so many people were in reception complaining about various things throughout our stay! Not some were you can rest peacefully and i have comfortably stayed in many premier inns. Also if you try and ring this hotel ahead of your booking you can forget it… they don’t answer i rang for 3 days straight prior to booking to check everything was in order not one time did they answer.

Having stayed at this hotel with no issues before, we chose it again for location and price. However, this time there were several concerns that were not resolved whilst there. Room on the 8th floor with window broken therefore not convinced by the safety and security with 2 young children in the room. Also very noisy and draughty due to this. Bathroom very poor condition. Shower/bath tap leaky and no bath plug. Asked for one so we could give our children a bath but one never arrived. Staff very busy and trying to run both the bar and check-in. Empty bottle of shower gel in the bathroom but my husband did manage to get one at the time of asking for a bath plug so at least they resolved that. Room needed cleaning and decorating. Goodness knows what previous residents had been doing due to the state of the walls and carpet. Also funny smell in the room. We tried to talk to reception but they were too busy. Even on checkout they had no time, we just left key cards in box and had no chance to discuss with them. A real shame as our first stay here had been fab. Hopefully just bad luck with the room we were allocated this time. Luckily we were barely in there.

I was so disappointed with this hotel overall. The exterior of the hotel is rundown and unkept. The reception staff were polite and helpful the majority of the time. The room we were given was filthy. Walls with hand marks, bogeys wiped on the bathroom walls, stains on the pillows ect. The shower had a smell of lying water and when we turned it on it made an awful loud squealing noise! The breakfast was perfect very fresh and great choice, we did go to the bar one night and my husbands beer was sour but the lady changed it straight away. I would not recommend this hotel unfortunately and will not be back.
