+1
I found this accommodation by filtering criteria of private bathroom (not hostel), good reviews and price of max 250 Eur for 3 nights. It served me well - shower, comfy bed and WiFi, accommodation just for night sleep. Furniture and carpet are old (2004?), stairs steep, info in guest welcome booklet not up to date but that are irrelevant with price you pay and good staff. I didn't need AC but noticed just fan attached to the wall, wonder how it serves during summer heat. There is a fridge in a room, good if you have items to keep cold but is noisy. 24 hrs reception is plus. Hotel is in Acton quarter, north - west part of London, zone 3. With easy London public transport, location is great.

Manager Monish was able to take care of us ( a group of 6 adults & 2 children under 4 yrs old . Our original booking fell through last minute & Monish was able to help us out with 3 rooms last minute . It didn’t stop there ! He listened to our situation and started to give us advice on what to do to get our money back on original booking. He saw we were pretty deflated about the whole situation as we still needed to find accommodations for 5 nights in London pre Jubilee festivities. Monish took it upon himself to be our advocate . The next day we had booked plans and had no where to put our
luggage . He offered to hold our luggage until we were able to come pick it up . We found alternate accommodations for the next 5 nights , picked up our luggage at his hotel the end ? No ! Monish continued to message us to ensure our vacation was going well and if there was anything else we may need from him . Truly outstanding service . I highly recommend this hotel and it’s staff .

It wasn’t a bad little place to stay but a bit expensive for the location and where it was. I got moved from one room to another and I wish they’d just given me the original room I booked instead to begin with. I’d just competed a five hour journey and had got lost as I couldn’t find the hotel to begin with so it wasn’t fun to move rooms as well.
Otherwise it was okay after that. The tube station was less than 6 mins away from this hotel so why google and booking com couldn’t explain this, was confusing. I do think it needs to be highlighted that this hotel isn’t in London’s centre and it is near a tube station but this isn’t clear according to google.
Apart from that, the staff were nice and helpful but it would have been nice to have breakfast provided.

As this was my first solo trip I wanted somewhere quiet and within walking distance of trains and buses. I eventually chose Oyo because I read the reviews and saw that it was a good place to stay.
After staying there for 3 nights I can say that I had an absolutely amazing stay. The room was a good size, bed was super comfortable, the en-suite bathroom was a good size with a really good shower. Fridge, telly and tea/coffee stuff in the room on arrival and topped up every day. I found the place very clean and sanitary. Was nice to stay at a place and not have completely white bedding.
The staff at the guest house are all fantastic too. As it was my first time travelling on my own, naturally I had many questions. It felt like every 10 minutes I was knocking on the office door to ask another question. Every time this happened though, the staff were incredible and helped me so much. From printing off a route to get into central London to actually running to the bus stop to tell me I was at the wrong one. They also booked a taxi for me to get back to Victoria coach station which I appreciated greatly.
Once again, I cannot thank everyone there enough for making me feel welcomed and very safe. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to London.

My daughter and I stayed here 6th August 2022. Room description was Deluxe Double Room. It was impossible to get either side of the bed and only one person could get in the bathroom. I appreciate this is London but for the price it should have been a lot more luxurious.

Amazing attentive staff, clean room with good facilities, and fantastic value for money. The new Elizabeth line makes the location very convenient for Heathrow and central London. I will definitely consider coming back next time I'm in London for business!

We booked this guest house following great reviews on trip advisor. When we got to the , guest house we found that it was in a built up area on exceptionally busy main road, sadly the guest house and area in which it is situated seemed run down and my sister was unwilling to initially get out of the car as she felt, unsafe We went in to reception and were unhappy and so went elsewhere.losing a night s money, We did not go past reception area and so cannot comment on inside of the guest house etc,

My son stayed here and despite the hotel being prepaid they took the money again leaving him short of cash on his first trip to London. They refunded it but by mistake they did it twice. Despite being informed that the refunds had not come through and they would have to wait until the money came back into his account they went back in without authorisation and took the money out, the day before the refunds hit his bank account. this left my son overdrawn and one of his DD came back unpaid so he also has to pay bank charges. Watch this hotel look after your cash because they hang on to your bank details.

Response from LGHhotel, Manager at OYO London Guest House
Responded 14 Oct 2013
Dear Madam, We apologise for the problems that your son had faced on his trip to London. Due to staff error, the pre-payment you had made before your son's arrival had been missed and hence your son was charged upon check-in. With regards to the bank details, we hold the details until the bill has been fully settled. We do not hold the details otherwise; it is completely against our policy to hold details after guests have settled the bill and have checked out. You have mentioned that your son has been charged for the missed DD payment and we are happy to compensate the amount charged. Regards Monish

Roseville, California, United States5 contributions19 helpful votesDear Ilse P,
From our hotel it would take about 1 hour by public transport; 0.5 mile walk to Acton Central taking the overground to Kew Station. At Kew Station you change to Southwest Trains to Twickenham Station which is 0.8 miles away from the stadium (source: Google maps at current time). The duration may change depending on the day you wish to travel.
You can still use your Oyster card/contactless card on Southwest Trains to Twickenham Station even though that particular route is not on the Underground Tube map.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards
Monish
Our normal check-in time is 2.00PM.We can get the room by mid-day. You can leave your luggage with us, if you want to check-in earlier than this time.
However, if the room is not taken the night before, then you can check in anytime in the morning.
