Me and my two friends stayed at a tripple room, arrived here a bit later than expected but the owner lives really close to it, so we got him and he let us in. Was really helpfull straight from the beginning, when I ordered the accommodation via phone...offered to lend us a notebook for 2 pounds a day if we... more

We normally travel to london so the wife can do some shopping, and normally stay at the premier inn. We decided to stay here as the as a change, we had a great stay and this place truly provided value for money, we found the owner very helpful as we lost our key and had to call him late to... more

Dirty little hotel based in the middle of nowhere, Had to wait about 15 minutes in a unclean smelling hallway for a Basil Fawlty type hotel owner to show up and show us into the other guest house. What he showed us was a dirty, smelly, hot room with no airconditioning and a communal bathroom even though we had requested... more

We stayed at The Martel Guesthouse for 8 nights, and found the place perfect for such a long London visit. Rooms are great, breakfast is great, and service is great. What more can one ask for? more

I recently stayed at The Martel Guest House and was pleasantly suprised. I had a spacious, clean room, the house is close to tube and bus routes. Good continental breakfast with plentiful toast. I found the owner happy to help with queries for transport etc. Satellite tv a bonus! As a lone traveller it was a very safe convenient location. more

I visited London on this trip to attend a graduation, and to take in a few days of sight-seeing. The Martel Guest House was perfect for my needs. The neighborhood is very quiet. Shopping and dining are within a few blocks, as is the Tube connection. Internet was fast and VPN-friendly. I stayed for four days. The room was clean... more

Where shall I start? We found this 'hotel' purely because it was the closest place the the private clinic we were taking a family member to. The place was hard to find and has no sign or anything to display what it is. Once found and inside we had to wait for 10 mins in the kitchen/dining room, with a... more

My friend and I stayed here for two nights. We basically chose it for the location and price because we were going to the Camden Crawl! Yes, the location was perfect...only 5 min walk from station.... The entrance area outside could do with a tidy and inside is really dusty....we were asked to wait in the kitchen for the owner... more

I stayed 1 night during the Easter weekend. The owner displayed good communication and sent me a reminder of my stay. I completely understand the numerous comments about the owner being impartial and "tired" as he sounded very dispassionate on the telephone. It's almost like he doesn't care so much whether he has guests or not and is tired of... more
