Not a bad hotel for a one night stay. The bed wasn't that comfortable, the pillows were really heavy and hard. The carpet wasn't very clean at all, neither was the hotel by the looks of it. We were on the top floor which was a real maul getting our bags upto there. Our room was really small and pokey,... more

Yes, for me almost all you have read is true, I wouldn't think of taking the shoes off and stay in bare feet.... or even to move much during the night, the sheets were smaller than the horrible dirty mattress and it was better not to move ! The shared bathroom, terrible and the many floors of stairs were an... more

The hotel wasn't hard to find... But it was not much for the price that we payed for... We booked double room and when we arrived the man at the reception desk wasn't expecting us. Then we got a room for four people but we paid the price for a double room. The room was small even for two of... more

The location is good, but the property is a rat-hole. I had to walk up 5 or 6 flights of steep, narrow stairs. Luckily I was able to leave my biggest luggage downstairs. Everywhere you looked, the walls were riddled with holes and peeling plaster. pestilence appeared to lurk in every dark, dirty corner. The carpeting was filthy and the... more

This hotel is NOT a 4 star hotel as promoted on Hotels.com, Expedia.com and Orbitz.com. We've been to Europe in the past and knew the rooms were smaller than rooms in the US so we were prepared. However, we were not prepared for cramming three twin beds into a 1 bed room. There was no room for luggage, the floor... more

Lobby actually really just a hallway, which had signs advising that it was illegal to smoke smelled of cigarettes. When we arrived the staff argued with one another. The hotel has shared bathrooms which were disappointingly unclean. The window in our room was broken (cracked), and the chairs were torn. Sheets did not fit the beds and the lock on... more

everything stated by others about this hotel at norfok-square, Paddington explains the hotel as it is. we have been there for four days in june 2007 - just DIRTY and NASTY! The price (30-40 EUR) per person is absolutely not worth for what you get. more

A dump. This should be included in the London Horror tour. I have no words to describe how bad this was. Admitedly, we didn't see any living sentient beings apart from the colonies of fungus and plants growing under the beds, but the smell of dust and decay was enough to discourage any mammal from going inside. It didn't discourage... more

There are not enough words in the English language to explain how horrible this hotel was. The pictures on the web site are of a hotel, but certainly not St.Georges. We arrived at noon. We had booked a double-Room with a bath-room. First impression: Filthy. Both the "hotel" and the manager. The manager took us into his "office", a dark... more

I've booked a twin-room for 5 days from 13-Nov to 17-Nov and a double bed room on 18-Nov at St George Hotel through the website hotellondon.com. I've prepaid the 10% deposit and booking charges by my credit card. When we arrived to the hotel, the hotel manager gave us a 3-beds private room at Tony's House Hotel for the initial... more
