After checking the reviews after booking and about the area it was in, we thought it can't be that bad... little did we know... this is the worst so called hotel you could stay at, it is not close to the upton park tube station, it takes over 30 minutes to walk there, whilst you are constantly being looked at... Having read the reviews within a few hours of arriving I was a little apprehensive on actually turning up. On arrival we received a friendly warm welcome from the bar manager and then shown our room. The room had all the basic essentials ie, tv,kettle, coffee, tea etc. The en-suite was clean and had clean towels. The bedding was clean and... More

This 'Hotel' is actually rooms above a Grotty pub. There is no reception - you wait at the bar. The area is horrific. At night avoid at all costs you will be harassed. Delivery drivers park outside til late at night so you have that coming and going outside your window. The pub plays very loud music til the early... More

After reading some of the reviews on tripadvisor about this hotel I did wonder what I had got us into but it ended up being a great weekend. The Hotel itself is situated in quite a rough part of London but then if you book a hotel in Upton Park you should expect that. It is only a 10 minute... More

To begin with I would like to say that the hotel was situated in a rougth part of London, and if you are planning on getting back to your room late I wouldn't suggest it. Especially as the nearest tube station is a good 20 minute walk even with a quick pace. The hotel it self looked a bit grubby,... More

would NOT reccommend this hotel at all! We arrived there at 11pm at night to be shown to our room. It was not at all as advertised. The room looked like prison with bars covering the windows. It was dirty and rusty. My partner went to open the fridge to see what it was like and got his hand covered... More

Stayed here as part of a group booking. Good location, excellent value. The rooms are basic with shared bathrooms. The hotel is clean and staff are polite. Well worth a stay just for the good value compared to other London accomodation.

After reading the bad reviews on here, I prepared for the worst (not being able to afford any other hotel- am a student) but it was really not so bad. The staff were friendly, though we didn't see them other than when checking in. The cleaner-girl was lovely. She made our breakfasts (very nice) in the mornings. It was clean... More
