My girlfriend and I Stayed at the Rockwell during our visit to London. On arrival they upgraded us to a double superior suite, the room was immaculate with our own outside terrace. I couldnt fault the place, there was a huge selection of continental breakfast and the staff were extremely friendly and polite. We look forward to staying here again... More

We used this hotel for one night due to its convenient location and reviews on Trip Advisor. Reception staff were most helpful but their seemed to be a surplus of doormen who were very keen to help and receive tips. Our room was a standard double at the rear. The room was small but well furnished, good pillows and quality bedding.... More

Thank you for your review. We usually have one doorman on duty at any one time to help the guests. The White Company is a well respected brand offering soaps, lotions and bed linen to customers and hotels across the country. I loved everything about this hotel. Intimate, stylish, reasonable and unbelievably comfortable. I booked a deluxe double room and was surprised by the spaciousness and paired down feeling of luxury. The staff were very helpful and friendly, who made me feel very much at home over my five day visit. I would also add that the cooked breakfasts, which tasted... More

My fifth stay, so that says it all. The Rockwell is a clean, friendly, efficient hotel, situated just a 5 minute walk to/from Earls Court underground. My single room was made for one absolutely and the en-suite bathroom in room 303 very tiny (perhaps a soap dish in the shower cubicle would be nice addition!) On my second check-in, I... More

The reception area is welcoming, with books, papers and magazines, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. We booked a deluxe room, which was on the first floor at the back, nice and quiet. The room was pretty spacious, with a large bed and two easy chairs. Surprised to find blankets instead of duvets, but we liked that - duvets... More

Thank you for your comments. The Rockwell made a decision when we opened in 2006 to have sheets instead of duvets. We strongly believe that duvets in hotels can be too heavy and what looks like a welcoming bed can in fact lead to a bad nights sleep, so we are very happy that you are in agreement. Kind regards,... I like this style of hotel. It is small, stylish and inexpensive. The lobby is quite striking and comfortable. We booked a deluxe double, which was spotlessly clean and looked out onto the garden. It was surprisingly big and well furnished for the price. The only downside is the road outside, which is the shabby and traffic filled Cromwell Road.... More

Thank you for your review. Please be advised that there is a very good double glazing system that insulates all sound from the road. Consequently, the rooms facing Cromwell Road are noiseless. Kind regards More

We spent 2 days at Rockwell in room 402. Although we booked a room for 2, we get a room promoted under the category single room on their web pages. The bed was narrow and wobbly and stood with one side against the wall so that one person had to climb over the other to get to the lavatory. For... More

Thank you for your review. 402 is in the standard double category and is not sold as a single room. This room type has smaller beds than those in the deluxe double catergory. As a consequence, the standard double category is cheaper. I hope this clears up any confusion. Kind regards, Fred Bartlett More

I booked this hotel for a long weekend in London with the family. Our room was a suite on the first floor with a mezzanine bedroom. The couch was opened to make a second bed for my son. For the price, we didn't expect a 6-star hotel, but The Rockwell suited our purposes in terms of price and location. Rooms and bathrooms have all been modernised; it would be nice to see them use duvets instead of the 'woolen blanket between 2 loose sheets' arrangement. Staff were very nice (Eastern European) and accommodating.

Thank you for your review- as you have pointed out we are not a six star hotel and that is reflected in the price. We have sheets instead of duvets, which one you prefer is a question of individual taste. Thanks, Fred More
